Late start...who cares

I am working on my 1st outdoor grow..3 ladies...1 lucky seed from some DANK OG, 1 hso blue dream fem, & 1 og raskal white super skunk...the og is 7 weeks from seed and the others are 22 days from seed...still inside under cfl (og is outside)for maybe another week..I dropped a light on the bd and damaged leaves and I also pierced the roots by staking her up hoping that she bounces back!! The babies will go in 5 gals and the og will go in 7 gals...the medium will be either 50/50 ocean forest/happy frog with about 30% perlite or fafard 3-b mix with maybe osmocote and axis regular...any suggestions between the 2? Anyways I have maybe 3-4 weeks til flowers start, but I'm hoping to get something decent outta them..what do u guys think the yield will look like considering my late start date? Any and all help is appreciated..thanks ahead... GG

I hope it turns out well. That will be some nice head stash. If your able to run a light longer you could veg them out another month an then let em flip over. I like running a cfl light no heat an ample amount of light.

Thanks for the positive vibes!!....you're right the cfls are perfect...my only problem is that the cab I have them in isn't tall enough to veg for another month..especially considering how tall the wss is getting so fast..and the bd is right behind her..ill get them as tall as I can inside though..I've been puttin them outside every few days to let em adjust to outside...I'm gonna let em get as big as possible before flowers come to get clones for mothers...wss hasn't been in stock for a couple years and I REFUSE to lose her...even though she has a couple sisters still in seed form here with me..which I'm gonna save for indoors..in addition to my island sweet skunk, Buddha Tahoe og, afghan lush special and few more secret weapons...lol...on another note, anybody here start this late before??....GG

4 weeks

Well the now 8 week Og bagseed is growin balls so ill keep it around to store some pollen to throw on clones of both the BD & WSS...the girls are both 28 days from seed today (4 wks)..the wss is gettin tall FAST, but yet still seems to have pretty tight nodes which is still a plus...as well as the BD that's a few inches shorter!! Can't go wrong with hhhmmmm let's see...maybe some "og dreamz" or "blonde super skunk og" Seeds! ...lol...be another 2 week's before theyre outside for good..og already is...every other day the ladies are put out all day then back inside for sleep time...they're on 18/6. Lights turn on at 12am then they're outside at about 9 am til 6 pm (18 hours total) ..being that the days are less than 15 hours I know theyll most likely start flower if I leave them out there now....at about 6 weeks(if the wss hasn't outgrown my 18" high space b4 then) they'll be out in 7 gals in ocean forest/happy frog mix or Fafard 3b mix...they have been taking light/medium feeding pretty good...My schedule is»»feed feed water«« for now at least...ok enough of runnin my fingers...lol...on another note, I know this is only 3 plants but I'd appreciate any and all comments or tips..this is my 1st outdoor and I'm just as excited as a dude up n norcal with 10 foot trees! Lol....ill right before flower I'm taking as many clones as possible...not even being sure how old the ladies have to be before I strip children from them...here's some pics...GG

wassup yall..i think i just ran into a "newbie" mistake..im new to lollipopping and my plants are about 5 weeks from seed...what ive been doing RIGHT is taking off the dead fan leaves close to my medium, but what i JUST REALIZED is that the little sets of leaves between the fan leaves and the stalk were future branches that i would have at least used as clones after some growth!! :( lol.. i think ive learned the best time for this is during flower when the lower branches are wasting energy or...now i have maybe 4 or 5 nodes close to the top and a long clean main stalk with about 2-3 more weeks of veg before they are permanently outside..ill have pics up in a little bit..they were just topped once yesterday, so im hoping to get good growth within these last few weeks...was this a BIG mistake or can i still expect decent yields??....thanks ahead.....GG

LOL, there is no reason what so ever to prune any plant that small. If you where going to let them veg for months more and you were worried about height than toping could make sense but you are aren't going to veg them for months. Pruning the wrong plant matter was your second newbie mistake. Deciding to prune a plant that small at all was your first one. These things are going to go into bloom before they get very big. People lolipop there plants to increase air flow around the plant to avoid mildew and mold. Your plants aren't going to get near big enough to have air circulation problems. Also at this young, your plants shouldn't have any leaves that are dying. You need to feed your plants and stop molesting them. A better (an actual) way to avoid mold problems and increase your yield is to have really healthy plants. That comes from the roots. Plants with mold problems or insect problems where/are not healthy to begin with. Plants grown with chemical nutrients need pesticides and herbicides much more often because they lack things they need that people don't completely grasp. Organic plants, if grown properly, have things that make the plants need far less herbicides and pesticides. Nurture the roots. Healthy organic plants, with good roots have strong pathogen resistance, vigor, high yield, and good quality. It all comes in the same basket. It all starts at the roots. Not from pruning. Pruning is for monster plants. Indoor gardeners prune the bottom since the light source is so weak compared to the sun it just doesn't penetrate that far down. Neither of these instances are you. If you grow your plants as healthy as they can be and don't keep on cutting them than they will produce the most they possibly can. The first thing I would do to those is top dress them with about a half inche of some good composted chicken fertilizer. This will add humus, carbon, nutrients, fungus, and bacteria to your soil. Good luck.
