Late Buds?

Hi everyone. Im a New England grower and i have a couple of questions about my current outdoor plants. I had a very shaky experience with the original 10 plants because i tried to start them in my parents house and i needed to hide them so incidentally they sometimes got inconsistent light. The main thing was that they only had a very short amount of time to veg (i dont remember but prolly like 3-4 weeks of veg) because i wanted to find the females/males. So what happend one day was my parents found the plants and got mad so i cut 5 of the less happier plants and showed it to them so they would think that they were gone and kept growing the other healthier 5 I started. Later when they showed sex, luckily, they turned out to be 100% female! :woohoo:

So after growing them as long as possible under about 60w of flouros I got them outside. The problem was they got confused by getting put outside and being constantly moved around that they went back in veg. Now they are getting pretty damn big and they are permanantly put in the ground.

SO... my question is... if the plant went back into veg mode and the old buds died off then how long will it take for it to go back into flowering and produce a good harvest? I have only about 2 weeks left of fairly good weather. I will post more pics closer to harvest so i can get your oppinions but right now all i have is a couple of pics of when they were littler and one picture of the big one about a week ago.

THANKS for reading and GROW ON MY FRIENDS!

PEACE :joint:

when the plant is outside you have no control over whether it is vegging or flowering. i don't understand exactly what you intend to do with these. that one already had a decent cola going and now that its outside the light schedule is wrong and its going back to veg or what?

it takes anywhere from 7-15 weeks to flower cannabis plants from the day you switch the light cycle to 12/12.

i don't have any experience with revegging especially not once there are colas formed and left intact on the plants.. or putting it directly back into flowering. so i don't think i can offer much insight.

you would have to have time for new healthy budsites to establish i know that much

Thanks Seedynono! The plants did go back to veging about 2 weeks ago but they still had many female flowers on it! So i think it just got stunted/less developed and then recently is getting more developed again.

This is what the little flowering room looked like in my closet on June 29 right after they started flowering:

Here is the newer pic of the biggest plant from Sept 5:

Sorry for the quality it was taken on my cell phone. Notice how the budsites are reforming on the top. That plant use to be small and had budsites going along the main stalk only and had very few branches. Now the plant totally branched out and now the budsites along the stalk dissapeared and switched to budsites on the other tops of the branches. All of the plants have at least 2 or up to 5 braches splitting at the bottom of the stem... i hope this will benefit the flowers!

Tell me what u think guys? Will i get a good harvest? Will i get any harvest??? :bat:

Anyone kno the frost dates for New England? More specificly Western Massachusetts?

Thanks alot!

I was using 12/12 lighting indoors and then i think it was about 14/10 outside when i took them out. It was like the end of july when they went out... i dont remember the exact light ratio for massachusetts but i thought they would continue flowering at the time. I guess they didnt :frown:  :cuss:

Also does anyone think that the buds that are somewhat developed can really mature a good amount, meaning to where they are mature enough to harvest, in 2 weeks? Because as it stands right now every plant has alot of budsites that are definatly getting fairly mature and me and my buddy are hoping we will have a nice harvest for the winter. :canabis: :kos: :smoweed:

hopefully u guys can give some good advice on how we can have a super dank harvest! :yummy:

sleepy time everybody........ PEACE

if you have budsites that still just look like little bundles of white hairs and haven't really grown nice distinct layers of calyxs on themselves yet then you definetely won't have finished nugs in 2 weeks. how many weeks are you into the new flowering cycle (since they have been back on 12/12)? probably only about 2, right? remember flowers take 8-12 weeks to finish so if you are 2 weeks in i'd say at least 6-7 more if you keep the things in a constant 12/12.

it is my belief that if you have a flowering plant that gets completely reverted to veg growth.. those original flower sites are pretty much useless. i don't think putting them back into flowering weeks later will result in quick finishing of the original sites but rather completely new sites will have to develop from the newly grown veg growth and go through the entire flower time to finish properly.

a day or two of bad light cycles can throw a flowering plant into slow growth and restrict the end products quality. plants really don't like to be stressed at all in flowering let alone being pushed back and forth from flower to veg. your best bet is to just get the thing into a proper 12/12 light cycle and keep it there. any more interuptions will make for a huge mess of a confused plant and will probably get you some nice seeded hermie schwag. and of course they may already be hermies so check them very closely for signs of seeded pods or male flowers/preflowers.

Update

Update

Hey im back again and its time for an update! So unfortunatly i know that my buds are not as i hoped they would be. They are small but developing and im not really sure what to do now. If someone could give a accurate New England temperature site that tells when it is REALLY gonna frost that would be awesome, because i figured that i have to keep my plants outside for as long as possible to get some nice buds. Should i use any nutrients for this last week or 2 of flowering... probably not right? Also what happends when your plant does get frost on it? Does it completely ruin your harvest... no way to get your buds back?? So heres the new pics as of Sept 20! Tell me your oppinion about how my plants are gonna turn out as far as yeild and if the buds can mature in 1 1/2 weeks? Enjoy my pics and happy growing!

they are going to need adleast another 5-7 weeks mates, it wouldnt even be worth harvesting in 2 weeks because u would be lucky to get 5 grams dried off all of them in that small amount of time. and it would probably hardly even get u stoned because they would be so early into flowering.

I disagree page. If i harvest on Oct 14 or so it will have been a full 5-6 weeks of "re-flowering"... and my grow partner checked on them yesterday and he said they are doing well and the buds are swelling. Im hoping for the best, obviously, but i really have a feeling we will have good bud. What do u guys think my buds will look like if they were "re-flowered" and are going for like 6 weeks? I kno they will be a little premature but i think they will still be nice. Ok another question... when do the trichromes and the budsites themselves really start to mature?

peace... time to rolla :joint:

New updated pics and a Q

New updated pics and a Q

Hey ok now i really disagree with page1 about how u think im not gonna even get stoned off of it... heres a (blurry)pic of the nugs my grow partner trimmed for us to test smoke...

it was only dried 3 days and i must say i got pretty high. So page whachu gotta say noww huh?? :) But anyway i went to check on them and most of the 5 are developing a lot of trichs but some are a little less developed. The 2 bigs plants are what I took pics of.

See how the nugs are also turning purple which is cool but thats because we have been dipping in the 40's and even poked into the high 30's. The budsites arent that big or dense which sucks so I really am gonna try to keep them out as long as they can grow.... which leads me to my big question....

Ok so my fellow grower friend told me today that i should just give up and cut them down because pot plants completely shut down and dont grow under like 40-45 degrees or sumthing like that. He lives up in the hills so he had 1st frost already but where i live (in the valley) we havent had any frost yet. And i figure its not supposta drop lower than like 38 degrees for the next full week. SOOOO my question is does cannabiss actually not grow under 45 degrees or is that just a myth? Do they slow down in growth alot? How much?

A reply will be MUCH appreciated!!

thanks

Doesn't look like anywhere near an ounce on those plants. I'd let em go until they die naturally. If it dips below 30, there's a good chance they'll die on you, but not necessarily. BTW, do you have those plants around the side of your house?? If your parents find em, they're gonna be pissed. Hey, at least you'll have some early buds to smoke...

No there not on the side of the house... there in the back in a big field. And its not my house... my buddy's house. And hopefully i will get an ounce. Ill take better pics today i think with my digi cam.

all i was saying is if u chop now u wont get as stoned than if they were more mature. i have harvested plenty of early girls in my time and always got stoned, but no where near as stoned as i got off the more mature girls that i have harvested. and u will prob get 7 grams out of your plants coz they havnt even started putting on weight. cannabis plants usualy put on 50% of their weight within the last 3 weeks of growth. and u havnt even reached that. adleast u will have something to get you high, and u have learnt a lesson for next year.

Yea next year is gonna be totally diff for me and my friend. Hopefully we will both get sum really good strains to begin with. And sum lowryders so we can have early smoke... :)

btw thanks page1 for the info...
