...And I've seen a ton on the news.

We have a lot of ballers on the forum with 10k plus grows, but this puts everyone to shame.

I found this through an amazing Google Map Database I found that lists a lot of the major grow house busts in Florida. If you go to the link you can see a map, and even click on the individual cases to see how many plants were taken, links to news stories, etc. Kept me entertained for hours..

This particular story is interesting because the FUCKING idiot was stealing power. Here's the recap:

$2 Million Worth Of Marijuana Found In Lake County Grow House

POSTED: 6:54 am EDT April 25, 2008

GROVELAND, Fla. -- Drug agents worked overnight Thursday and into Friday to clear out a massive marijuana grow house found in Lake County holding around 2,000 plants. Agents found $2 million worth of marijuana in the home and arrested the alleged operator.

They discovered the house after power crews realized that the man who lived and worked at the house was climbing a utility pole and stealing electricity. The house is on Indigo Road in Groveland (see map).

Room after room of the home was filled with marijuana plants. Deputies said the garage and a nearby barn were also used in the massive operation. Investigators believe the nearest neighbor lived about half a mile away.

"I think the setting out here provided good cover for him, and I think that's probably why he chose this location for this setup," said Lt. John Herrell of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Lake County deputies arrested 38-year-old Mario Guerra for running the operation. They said they found 2,000 plants. All of it was grown with a sophisticated system of underground irrigation, track lighting and even cooling pumps.

"A lot of marijuana [is] not going to make it to the streets and the neighborhoods in our county. So, we're glad about that," said Herrell.

And now, the video. I'm pretty sure there is over 100 1K's in that house.

I'll tell you people, in addition to being entertaining, a lot of these busts are great examples of what NOT to do:

WAR ON POT: JSO Busts Grow House on the First Coast

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's received a tip on a possible grow house. Tonight, one person is facing charges and nearly two dozen plants have been confiscated.

Officers conducted what they call a "knock and talk" investigation in the 13700 block of Richmond Park Boulevard. 27-year-old Jody Bissoon signed a consent form to let the officers search his house.

Officers found an elaborate growing operation set up in a spare room. Officers confiscated 21 plants. Police say Bissoon admitted the marijuana was his and told officers he grew it for personal use.

Bissoon faces charges of cultivation of marijuana.

OH, CRAP! They caught NZJay!

Seriously though ... no forget that .... I admit to poking around the site indulging in the warm glow of shadenfreude. The level of stupidity some humans are capable of is amazing. Said the guy posting on a weed site ...

HAte to say it, but greed man... if you've making bank on that large of a setup.. at least pay for that electricity. You'd think people would learn that lesson by now.

i think the amount of electricity he was using would've caused some unwanted attention if he payed for it. Ironically, it did anyway...

That link doesn't work. Copying and pasting a compressed URL with ellipses isn't the same thing as a full URL embedded within a compressed text with ellipses.

Fixed.

Well, that and the sheer numbers. 2000 plants in a residential home... True paying the bills on a 30kw grow lol.... would be pretty suspect.

If you're gonna run 2000 plants, doing it in a home is not the place. Either way, one more dummy for the machine =/

someone put in a lot of work putting that together.

And that's just the tip of the iceburg. Look at all the grows that haven't/won't be found.

LEO's making an incredible number of raids this summer, all across the US, both indoors and out.

But most of the grows are going to make it.

Because the demand for the product is just so great!

It's been getting rougher in Fl lately. The "authorities" have been getting more aggressive as of late. I believed they even passed a new law recently with state mandatories kicking in as low as 25 plants; not absolutely sure.

The largest grow I ever remember hearing of was an 11,000 plant grow in a 9 bedroom mansion in Biscayne Gardens(Miami). The whole setup was SOG/rockwool slabs, CRAZY!!! Imagine what their hydro shop bill was like...lol

Do you think they keep the lights real high for ease of maintenance? No worries about fires? That would be a lot of lights to move up. Or is it possible having so many lights close to the plants would create too much heat and hurt the plants?

Probably a combination of logistical reasons. Not practical to adjust the freakin 100 lights in there + safety/fire prevention
