Landlord wants a copy of electric bill...

That smart meter is like a double edge sword. One it's good because u don't have to have the electric company come out and read you meters. Then on the other hand they have access to real time usuage and could easily pick up on a 12/12 light cycle or a 20/4 light cycle.

But then on the other hand with the old style meters u have to worry about some dumb electric meter reader guy to come out and walk around your house and god forbid your carbon filter isn't working up to par and he gets a huge whiff when he is walking around your house not good to say the least.

The best case snerio is pay your electric on time then they have no reason to red flag your account and investigate further. It's usually when people are growing and not paying there electric bills on time when they get singled out and investigated for there power usuage.

Has anyone figured out how to block light signatures from smart meters yet?

A GOOD EMI filter will block transients/spikes from showing up, making it harder to 'read' use.

This means testing the EMI filter on the 60 Hz side at the time of light start-up to 'see' what the smart meter sees.

You would need a digital storage scope, something that will show 60 seconds worth of waveforms.

re. hiding the power consumption - you would need to run your lights off a large UPS to 'smooth out' the power consumption.

So you'd be charging batteries 24/7, then using the energy during 12/12.
