So I just spoke to the Landlord and this weirdo is pulling a 180 on me...

She's saying we aren't evicted and they just don't want Marijuana being grown there?

WTF... this landlord came into my building with like 7 neighbors and the locksmith... when the flood happened ..

So I wonder what the Police and Narco Detective had to say?

I guess I can recover my AC's now... what a ride the last 72 hours have been..

Should I just let it go gentleman and move on?

Sounds like the landlord had a change of heart once he realized he didn't have a case against you. Doh!!

He sounds like trouble. I would probably thank the stars for aligning the way they did, and then find a new place to grow in. Your storage pod idea sounds like a killer plan, dude. I'd go ahead and try to make that happen if you can.

lesson learned move on..murphys law......I been thinking about trailers as theres lots here cheap...hook up and go...low profile compared to shipping container and no special truck needed.....maybe those water sensors next time as an added precaution....this should be a reminder to others....good luck on your next setup

Don't throw those rootballs in your local dumpster...not at the warehouse nor close to home...

I almost had the exact same thing happen with a failed float valve. Neighbors called the landlord who was outside - water everywhere. He was about to call a locksmith - my partner went down first after we delayed for an hour and the landlord had miraculously left. Turned off the water and shop vacuumed up neighbors unit and ours. No damage and haven't heard from anyone since. I am always super paranoid about filling the resi now...

Grab your AC's and the rest of the equipment and set up a new shop .... I doubt anyone will be charged without proper evidence. I wouldn't leave your rec down there if I were you. Sounds like you guys should be alright.

wouldn't be surprised if the cops basically told her that there probably isn't much case against you guys considering your in Cali and most likely have cards, and landlord goes ahh fuk it might be lost income if I have to find new tenants...

either way I say packup all your shit and get the fuk outta there!

also really like the storage unit idea. Let us know if you ever follow through with that :tiphat:

SS, I don't always see eye to eye with you, however, GTFO of there dude! The landlord can say whatever they want to you. or your "buddy". But the bottom line is you need to beat feet. They don't have shit on you 2, unless you dry snitch yourself off to them by continuing to speak to the landlord and or posting your rec etc.

The storage container(s) are a KILL idea! I've "heard" of a series of them being daisy chained together and a pretty big grow being done in them. With 2 even used solely as a trim/processing area. I heard it was quite nice, might be something to think about. And maybe, never using a cheap ass float valve again in your "buddys" 30k+ + grow hahaha :)

Looking forward to you getting those Iranian genetics out so we can all grow them someday..Who know, maybe they'll be the next Hardcore OG or Cookies... ;)

They are trying to....but here is where they messed up (I hope)

The Landlord who came in with the locksmith... let in at least 4 of my next door neighbors

They all told me they will do and say whatever we want..since they feel kind of responsible for contacting the landlord in the first place...

One of my neighbors offered to help me move all my gear for a tray of clones! Those cuts were in a locked away room 3 doors away from the flower room...

I called out the landlord on this issue and he said the neighbors let themselves in...funny since he had the new key they made and was the last one out since the door was locked...

Im going to stop paying rent... HVAC guys are coming to disconnect everything today and move it all out this Sunday..

(3) 45' foot shipping containers WWT (wind and water tight) from here on out

Well done mate! Looks like you handled everything appropriately. From what i've seen in the past, you did exactly what you needed to do and you're lucky that the neighbours are pro-ganj.

best of luck with your new operations!

Dude. Run just as fast as you can and don't look back. I personally would not ever feel comfortable having my landlord, or anyone for that matter, knowing my business, and especially my control freak landlord. Nothing is worth the possible negative consequences and that dude is most certainly on your case and has definitely shown he is not going to mind his own business. He has demonstrated he thinks your business IS his business and apparently already lied to you.

Keep in mind I'm not a lawyer, but my educated guess is they *could* analyze the genetic material of the rootballs to determine that they are in fact cannabis rootballs.
^----Totally
From what I've read on this site they most definitely are going to weigh the rootballs if found. Heard of soil/medium getting lumped in as well as mulch and such, not personal experience but acquired here. I think any equip that would contain residue of any type is red and should get blasted clean or disappear.
Landlords are such nutty fruitcakes sometimes, you'd think they'd be recruiting us. Well done SS look forward to reading more of your post.

So just found a new spot... In the next 2-3 weeks max... time for the Shipping Container Show!

Rolling out (3) 45' 9'6" Containers

2 for flower and the 3rd for veg/drying

The units are so cheap to rent... $100 a month or a couple G'z to buy them... Never losing $$$$ on a build out ever again!

for the love of god, PLEASE document your new buildout/grow!

This is something I think all of us will be VERY interested in seeing  :tiphat:

Sounds like a happy ending... Sort of?

Your former landlord decided not to cancel your lease after consulting (his attorney or whomever) because they want to stick you for breaking the lease. (Most likely).

Love the shipping container plan.

Are there any documented cases of that happening?

Oh and also, DON"T stop paying rent if you owe. IIRC, the laws in California are similar to my state and the court will not accept your reason as a reason for non payment.

Tell him he violated the terms of the lease by allowing other people into your space and that you would like to cancel it immediately.

Tell him if he doesn't, you'll take him to court and win.

If he refuses, then take photo's of everything and write him a certified letter saying that based on his actions you feel the premises if no longer safe and that there are other problems with the space (I.E. lighting, mold, whatever you can think. No property is perfect)

Nice to hear on the new spots, grats
