Im pretty sure they cant do that. They could have shut the water off from the main that is outside. When our landlord who even knew the deal wanted to do anything he still showed up and handed a notice to us just in case we ever had things go bad we couldnt get him in trouble for entering without permission. Sounds like you might be able to have something against the landlord. I would bring it up to the lawyer when you speak to him homie and let him know about it since you guys are already plannin on it.

If you read the whole thread you will see it was stuck float valve which sounds more like a res draining. In any case if they can't stop the water coming from one property flowing into and destroying another owners property both the fire dept/cops/property management can break into that property and stop the destruction. I know this for a fact. Your rights end when property is being destroyed. Does the fire dept knock on the door and wait for permission to enter when your house is on fire?

I wish I had some practical advice. Good luck with everything. Krunch knows what he's talking about here. I've been lucky enough to not have to deal with this kind of thing so far.

Did YOU read where i said they could have shut the main for his property.. Ya know that valve that is OUTSIDE:tiphat:. No need to enter. And where im from if you dont pay yearly the fire dept wont even suit up ;)

So nice of those Narcotic Detectives to schedule their visits and let you know when they were coming :p I smell a rat. Lie low dude. I think you did the right thing anyway but I get the impression the landlords just wanted the shit out and just told you that thinking you might react that way. But it's good you're out anyway if they knew what you were doing.

so now that all of the equipment/pots/rootballs etc are gone... what should we expect next?
If the Narcotic Detectives show up to a room they can tell was used for growing, but has nothing but some air conditioners what can they do? When we went back in...I taped my DR's Rec on the front door of the grow room...so when they come back inside and see everything is missing...they can see my rec also which wasn't visible at the time...
I basically want to send in contractors and recover my Air Conditioners... is this possible? I mean at this point the Property Management company should be serving us some sort of evection right? Can they lock me out of the unit legally right now?
I want to find a new spot this week... Im going shipping containers this time...lock them the fuck up and from what I hear you need some sort of special welding gas to get through the locks on them ..not to mention a separate search warrant to go inside of them...

Im so sore from moving all that shit so fast...its crazy what our bodies do when its to fight or flight...
oh b4 I forget the float valve was a very common model

the business a couple doors down... called me and said there were cops banging on the door 30 min after I left ... that was when the Property Management told us they'd be here in an hour... we threw all the plants away and tossed 70% of the rootballs...then took off...shortly after...the cops did their knock knock at the door...

that was the night we came back and emptied the place out.... is it still a bust to go back anytime soon with everything out ?

if the narcs only have an empty room they can't prove anything in court and if the landlord took pics they probably didn't try to get angles where they could get an accurate
plant count.

IMHO (and i'm not a lawyer) they are not going to be able to do a damn thing that a lawyer couldn't get you out of in about 5 minutes so they won't bother you

......... it's fucked when a $10 part fucks up the whole operation.

bro tell me about it... 30K for a build out and installation in the toilet now...

If I would have the shipping containers... I could just hitch them to a truck and roll em out...loss would be ZERO..

Your good man, I just would not be showing up during the day, JIC the cops told a neighbor to call if they see you....

Grab those AC's late night again and wait for the eviction notice and a bill...

I had THE SAME thing happen to me years ago, ill tell the story later. The landlord and cops showed up and all we had was a 18" indian tee pee we made out of 2X4's and tarp....
