A good solid strain with good bag appeal, most folks really like this strain and how it smells, smokes and sits in the bag. I would recommend it for an evening smoke because it can creep up on you and knock ya for a loop if ya overdo it. It would work in the day as long as you kept the amount down a bit, a good strain to have around for all around use.

Nice hearty nugs, easy to grow, extreme frosty fan leaves all the way to the tips, jacks cleaner and chocoD may be a bit frostier, but this one will outyield them both in bubble, though the stone of it might not be the strongest, the bubble of it is ferocious.

Strong earthy pungent musky smell that lingers in the smoke, smells very similar to the flowers themselves, easy to burn with an alright calyx to leaf ratio. I bet if grown under 1k's it would have an even better ratio, but it like it how soft it comes out under the 6's.

A keeper for those who like hash and want a good strong smoke that isnt fruity or girly-man feeling in any way shape or form. This is pot your dad would dig if he was a med head.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
==================================================

1. Visual Appeal: 9
Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
Comment: chunky hearty, yet fluffy, nugs, just as i remember lambsbread to be. It has a unique texture, it has some leaf to it on the inside of the bud when you break it up but not a bad calyx to leaf ratio at all. A good yielder, really vibrant orange hairs that retract back into the calyx around 7-8 weeks, looks very clean and pretty againts the pale green when flushed or fed with low n during bloom.

2. Visible Trichomes: 9
Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.
Comment: excellent crystal coverage, inside/out and all the fan leaves are hit with a snow storm. Good sized trich heads, the kind that you can count each one on a leaf edge. Makes excellent full melt clear dome head stash bubble.

3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for
a more precise report.
Note: two samples on this report, fed different nutes, so one went a bit longer than the other.
Clear: 30% | 30%
Cloudy: 60% | 70%
Amber: 10% | 0%
Dark: 0% | 0%

4. Mark with X the colors that are present in the buds or for a more detailed color analysis rate presence on a scale 1-9 light-dark.
Brown:
Green: 4 very pale light green when grown properly
Gold:
Blue:
Grey: 6 lots and lots of trichomes!
White:
Red:
Rust:
Orange: 3 bright pistils contrast well on the dull green background. pretty good bag appeal.
Purple:
Black:

5. Bud density: 6
Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense. For samples that are
not in their natural state leave this field blank.
Comment: Big heavy nugs, the density is great, not too hard and not too fragile, wouldnt crumble up in a sac and can easily be broken down with one hand in a second. I think jacks cleaner and chocoD are the only two i can think of with a more smoker friendly texture to them.

6. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the aroma of freshly broken bud where a one indicates a subtle presence and 9 indicates a pronounced presence.

Ammonia [] Earthy [ ] Licorice [ ] Peach [ ]
Berry [] Floral [ ] Mango [ ] Pepper [3]
Blueberry [ ] Fruit [ ] Lemon [ ] Meat [ ] Petroleum/Fuel [ ]
Bubblegum [ ] Grape [ ] Melon [ ] Pine-sol [ ]
Cedar [ ] Grapefruit[ ]] Menthol [4] Pineapple [ ]
Cherry [ ] Grass/Hay [ ] Mint [ ] Rotten [ ]
Chocolate [ ] Hash [ ] Mold [ ] Skunk [ ]
Citrus [] Iron/Rust [ ] Musk [8] Spice [3]
Coconut [ ] Leather [ ] Nutmeg [ ] Strawberry[ ]
Coffee [ ] Lemon [ ] Orange [ ] Vanilla [ ]

7. Aroma: 8.5
Rate the aroma from 1-10 repulsive-delightful. Use freshly crumbled bud for best results.
Comment: a unique smell, you may have smelled this one before lurking in the undertones of a few different strains, it is a good solid manly smell. reminds me of a spicey sandalwood evening cologne for the gents. Quite a few furry flowering plants out there smell like this, there is a house in frisco that has these around the perimeter of their property, everytime i walked by it i said "wow i really need to get that cutting of lambsbread back in my stable" glad i came across it at harborside a while ago, too bad the nug samples they had were scaring the growers away from choosing these genetics. Oh well, mo' fo' me.

8. Seed content: 0
Rate seed content from 0-10 none-fully seeded.

THE SMOKE TEST
==================================================

Address these questions while smoking.

1. Please use a clean instrument for the evaluation. Enter information below that will identify the instrument as follows:
Water pipe (enter bong, hooka, bubbler etc): PHX bong
Vaporizer (enter the brand name):
Pipe (size-type, ie medium-glass):
Joint (enter brand of papers):
Other (specify):

2. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the taste where a one indicates a subtle presence and a
nine indicates a very pronounced presence.

Ammonia [ ] Earthy [3] Licorice [ ]
Berry [ ] Floral [ ] Mango [ ] Pepper [ ]
Blueberry [ ] Fruit [1] Meat [ ] Petroleum/fuel [ ]
Bubblegum [ ] Grape [ ] Melon [ ] Pine [ ]
Cedar [ ] Grapefruit[ ] Menthol [ Pineapple [ ]
Cherry [ ] Grass/Hay [ ] Mint [ ] Rotten [ ]
Chocolate [ ] Hash [3] Mold [ ] Skunk [ ]
Citrus [ ] Iron/Rust [ ] Musk [6] Spice [2]
Coconut [ ] Leather [ ] Nutmeg [ ] Strawberry[ ]
Coffee [ ] Lemon [ ] Orange [ ] Vanilla [ ]

3. Taste: 7
Rate your impression of the taste from 1-10 unpleasant-delicious.
Comment: Tastes very sticky strong smoke, smells musky and stinks up a whole room within seconds with a dense resinous smoke. i dunno what it is with this strain be it the terpenes or what not, but the odor lingers on clothes, bedding, even animals quite a bit longer than you might expect, large enough of a smoke session and your laundry will smell like lamsbread. harvested early the strain has a slight kush like taste to it because of how musky it is.

4. State of dryness: 5
Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.
comment: Some cured for a month, some freshly harvested 2 weeks earlier, they both near equal in dryness.

5. smoke ability: 7
Rate the smoke ability of the sample from 1-10 harsh-smooth.
Comment: Flushed both of these, one for two weeks one for a few days, the longer flushing really helped lighten up the buds and make the taste much more pronounced. Not a better or sweeter taste, just stronger in the flushed one, no real difference in the smoke ability of the two.

6. Smoke expansion: 2
Rate how the smoke expands in the lungs from 1-10 stable-explodes.
Comment: Easy one to hold in, doesnt expand that much, but the smoke is heavy as all get out so you can easily "top-off" your lungs and throat with smoke and get a little irritation/coughing fit. Most seasoned smokers take a small breath after the inhale so this wouldnt even be an issue for most when it comes to herb that smokes heavy.

1. __[3 hits / .4g max ]__ Dosage
Enter the number of hits taken to reach desired effects.
Comment: Two bowls can get ya where ya need to be, three your good to go for a good while, and any more than that and your starting to overdo it.

2. __[6]__ Effect onset
Rate how quickly the effect hit from 1-10 immediate-major creeper.
comment: immediate warm nice indica feeling, takes about ten minutes for the soaring part of the high to kick ya in the butt. Upu can get the second part of the high with just a few bowls, but its much more fun and pain relieving to overdo it with this one ... feels like your eyes popped outta their sockets after a few bowls, heavy and soaring at the same time.

3. __[7.5]__ Sativa influence
Rate the sativa influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme. Sativa
influence is best described as a clear and energetic mental effect.

4. __[6.5]__ Indica influence
Rate the indica influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme. Indica
influence is best described as a sedative, lethargic or numbing
effect that affects the body.

5. __[7]__ Potency
Rate the potency of the sample from 0-10 none-devastating.

6. __[45 mins - 1 hour]__ Duration
Indicate the duration of time that the effects lasted.

7. __[5]__ Tolerance build up
Rate how quickly tolerance builds from 0-10 none-rapid. Leave this
field blank if you have not used this sample repeatedly.

8. Usability
Rate on a scale of 1-9 where a one indicates the worst time of day
to consume this strain and a nine represents the ideal time of day.
Leave field(s) blank if you have not yet formed an opinion.

11.Judging from the sample alone do you personally consider this
strain a keeper for long term use?

Looks exactly like some stuff a dude grew up here in tha Sierra's . Nice dense outdoor sample . Spicy smoke on our palate . OK stone but nothing of a keeper in our books ....

yeah i would agree that the stone is average to slightly above avg. The reasons for keeping it imo are the uniqueness of the smell and flavor, plus the bubble is excellent. Im not a fan of morning star herb, but the bubble from it is some of the best ive ever had every time i try it, same goes with this lambsbread. I give it good ratings in all of its category, if those characteristics carry over to crosses it would be a nice one to have in the pool imo.

Thanks for the reply and takin the time to read!

Awsome report Sauron. Do you know If Lambsbread a clone only strain? ....btw your avatar trippin me out maybe has somthing to do with the nevilles haze I just toked :smoke: :yoinks:

As far as I know it is clone only, I first got it from the third floor in Oakland years ago. Hadn't seen it for ages and then it popped up again and is making the rounds in the bay area again. Ive seen seeds of a jamaican lambsbread floating around online but I am unsure of the background on those genetics, doesn't look much like this from the pics I have seen.

Enjoy that NH buddy, some heady gear no doubt!

Jamaican "lambsbread" ain't a clone only, it's just a general term for high grade Jamaican sativa.

This sounds like a nice indica though

Someone probably crossed a strain with jamacian and called it lambsbread. The picked their favorite female and called it a clone only. But thats just my guess.

Hi,
I was working in frackville, pa one year and got ahold of some of this strain. they called it 'Lambs Breath" I thought...maybe they were saying "lambsbread"?

I know this was some of the best weed this ol hillbilly ever saw.

Never saw anymore of it and never heard of it again until today.

Dude, that is some real sinsemilla you got there and the photos are great too.

I really would love to know where to locate some of those seeds.

Nice job.

It floats around S. Oregon amongst the lucky few. Sauron nailed it. Musty and peppery to me, I love it. Smoke enough and she gets pretty powerful pretty fast and you're in for a long night. She is super fine outdoors.
