Laid Another Old Freind To Rest...

[Sleepy]

since March, we have lost three friends...

most recently, our pal, Pudd had to be put down...

he was a good boy.



my wife took him in as a stray about eight years ago...he was so good with the kids, too.

a while back, we had his tail removed, he was ok for a while, but recently he had recurring urinary problems, surgeries and complications.

he was getting a lot of crystallization in his bladder and could not pee...then he started bleeding internally...

he was always a good cat, i'm sorry we could not do more for him...it really got expensive.

light one up for an old pal.

i have been sad since Saturday, when i brought him to the vet to have him euthanized... it was for the best, i hated to see him suffering, and i really didn't think it was fair to the poor cat to have him undergo another surgical procedure.

i guess i am trying to rationalize my behavior, we are all upset, and miss Pudd already.

now you are not in pain, Pudd, sleep well...sorry.

but we can avoid the passing of those wonderful memories lost loved ones leave behind

Really sad to hear that sleepy. I know it takes along time to get over a pet not bein there anymore. Dreading the day my 12 year old pit has to be put down. His hips get worse every winter. Last year he could hardly get on or off the couch(fav. place)without yelping in pain. Sad. I feel for ya

Sleepy, it's that first week of missing them every time you come home or walk by all their hang out spots that seems so lonely without them. Keep your chin up bro, like PTD said they are always with us. They must be because all the hurting without them being here anymore seems like a part of us is gone, y'know. So Sorry for your loss bro!

Ginger died July 6 and I'm just getting back on track.....the numbness has finally worn off, to wear things feel kinda normal again........healing takes time, especially for our four-legged family members.

Oh Sleepy...Pudd kitty will be purring on your lap again someday, our friends never really leave us...we just don't see them for a while. I know I'll be in the same spot someday...I have 5 little boys myself. My heart is breaking for you. Pudd kitty is in a good place Sleepy...he's not hurting anymore.
