Lack of what? (picture)

Hi Guys
One of my young White Widows has a lack of something. It had a slighly high ph for a day (7) otherwise it's been eating the same food as the other girls. Weak example?

This is just some picture candy

bring the ph down and see what happens. can't diagnose anything if that is off.

nothing evident yet they look fine to me.

Ok tx - yes they're all fine now. Just that one picture has those lighter green spots. Just wondered so i'll know next time i see it

do as seedynono sez. don't know what your feeding them, but whatever it is lightly is best since they are small at this point.
if the ph gets corrected and they continue to get lighter in color leaning towards yellow you might want to feed a little more.
but don't worry or try to "fix" things overnight.
it takes a few days (4-7) to see results of correction.
after ph is corrected they will be able take in nutes more efficiently.
then if you still have concerns chime back in.
peace.

NP - Always nice to hear more people's opinions. That's what makes these forums so great.

Bottom photo looks like the stem is getting a fungal canker. The stem is brown/black. Looks like its even wet = disease problems

I think the yellowing is a case of zinc deficiency:

Reasons for zinc deficiency:

Obvious solution is the plants need fert with micros containing zinc

Other reasons:

>too wet

>too cold

>too much phosphorus

>too much alkaline earth metals especially magnesium; too much dol. lime or cal mag or both

>too much copper

>too much iron

>ph too high

>rootbound

Phew, that's a lot of things. The plant on the bottom picture is healthy as can be though. No rot, just plane vigour.
Might be that single plant caught itself some cold though

Nice to see and hear that you really are thorough. That particular plant with the blackish on the stem is a bit older than the pic( like a week or so) and the black is completely gone, and it's my fastest growing of 6 White Widows.
I need to find a good mother. You find White Widow to be a nice strain?
The curled leaf might be a bit curled. What is that?

Yellowing between the veins and curled margins like that probably zinc deficiency. If there is zinc in your ferts, check the other possible things on that list that might be causing problems. Lack of root growth possibly. That bottom picture has alot of redish-purple color. Maybe phosphorus deficient? That would also go along with reduced root growth. But also ph could be a factor. Aim for 6 ph in your fert water after mixing. Temperature too low?

Tx for the great links there, Sproutco. Looks like you know what you're talking about. This is an amazing way of growing weed. Although it seems more natural to have the plants in the garden in soil, this rocwool thing is just much more controllable and i fell in better contact with the plants.

My plan is to clone the 8 plants i have here in their 8 weeks of growing and put the original "mother plants" into the flower tray which is 130x100cm with a ebb and flow and a 600w hps. After finished flowering i plan to find the most potent and tasty plant and clone that. i was thinking of maybe make a sog in this tray with maybe 20 small plants. Does this sound reasonable? Or could the tray be bigger for this 600w lamp?
Tx again

I have 10 WW going from Seed. Out of 10, 8 Female and 2 Male. Of the 8 Female, only one is short and bushy. They were 12-15" tall when I switched 12/12. The first two weeks of 12/12 7 of 8 streched BIG Time. They are 23 days 12/12 now and are 40+ inches tall. The one short girl is by far a keeper (if I was going to keep a mother)

I just put them under 1000w HPS from 400w due to the MASS WW jungle :joint:

^^ Maybe the dwarf plant lacks vigour. Choose the plant with the largest buds and no root rot.

So you'd choose the largest bud (asuming it's the best i guess) Wouldn't you need to smoke a sample of each plant, or would the high be pretty similar?

Tx again, Sproutco for helping out. Some more of my plants are showing a small sign of this ???Zinc def.??? Few leaves with these signs also curly their leaves slightly. I'd really like to get this gone.

:yoinks:
Ph: 6 (adjustet every day, sometimes more than ones)
Temp: 20c
Humidity: 50 ish
Grodan 3"x3" in pots with small leca rocks.
Water in ebb flow manually about 3 times daily. (maybe this is too much. Just figured it would be allright with rocwool and small leca rocks)

But i'm using these fertilizers dozed excactly as described on bottle. Shouldn't they also get the Zinc they need from this?:

Pleas help me more, if these details help a bit more.
Sproutco?

The blackish on this stem was some kind of dry peal that just came right of.
This plant is beautiful i think

D

dre86

yes ^the peal is common you can scrape it off if you want, dunno if it hellps the plant
