LA OG: A legend

Purchased: hortipharm, $125 a 1/4

Look: medium dark green with lots of coli. medium dense

Smell: citrus, smells good enough to eat

Taste: like lemons, refreshing

Effects: super relaxing, ready for bed, took my headache away. i really sleep well with this gear

Overall:10 out of 10

Damn Dude....OGK is bomb No Doubt...But no Herb is worth $125 a 1/4....That sucks that they are charging that much....~ogr

I think what may be happening, is that most dispensaries have closed in santa barabara. supply and demand might be the reason. On the flip side i picked up some great blackberry and Apollo 11 for $85 a 1/4,at the same place i bought the OG.

I'd like to respectfully disagree with my esteemed colleagues here.....

I have been arguing for a new category of "superkind" which is 10/10 bud like the LA OG......you just do not see very much of this quality of bud on the market, which is why it should demand a higher price than other strains......

Despite the decline of the dollar and the rise of the price of an ounce of gold (which used to be around 420 dollars = the price of a nice OZ in urban areas), I have noticed that the price of top-quality flowers has really remained quite stable......so really it's not like there's a huge amount of people trying to charge 125 bucks for a quarter out there.....but when you see it's the real-deal OG, i think it would qualify as "super-kind"
and therefore it would be ethically acceptable to charge/pay 125/quarter......

It's tough to be in the minority here, especially when i'm at odds with such experienced growers and smokers who are arguing the other side......this quality of super-kind bud would only apply to 10/10 bud, nothing less would qualify......

Another issue here is that this bud is being sold at a "medical dispensary" for people who genuinely need this herb for pain/nausea control.....we cannot let prices run sky-high (like big pharma companies), because this would be unethical, so its a fine line that i'm walking on here.....

Still another issue is that the dispensaries don't know how high to charge people because they must constantly be collecting funds for the legal fees in case they get shut down.....this is another factor which might contribute to the raising of prices like this......

Is it "highway robbery?" Well, after you've grown your own, that is absolutely true.....you would think that the government would allow its people to control their own pain for free by growing the medicinal herbs they need, but i guess that's just living in a fantasy world......

If they discovered a plant which produced human insulin, it would probably be made illegal too and diabetics would be hauled off to jail....

Well now that you've explained it that way i could agree it's a fair price, but only depending on availability. Still wouldn't catch me buying it at that price, than again i can't remember the last time i bought bud doh.

they want $125 a quarter all the way up, so it would be five hundred dollars for one ounce of that. The quarter is the only weight you get a break on, and its usually 5, max of 10 dollars buying two eights vs a quarter at the hortipharm. outrageous i know! but they are the "Starbucks of marijuana distribution!"

someone posted some pictures of some OG that had a bad trim job and some of the fan leaves attached had a burn of some sort and left behind crispy yellow leaves. Didnt look that well manicured but could of been cleaned up for some good smoke. They removed the pics from the thread after the mexi weed post. Dont think he was doggin OG at all..
