Kushanator does the Northern Lights thing.

Ok for some of you that watched my grow in the sick plants forum, and saw my battle with bad root bound problems here it finally is.

The Northern Lights is from female seeds and my special jar has been curing for 3 months now.

From this...

To this...

Finally to this...

Visual Appearance: The buds are honestly the best looking ones I have ever grown, and or seen in a long time. Just looking at the buds you can tell its some serious stuff. These buds are packing the trichomes, you shine it under a light and you can see this stuff twinkle. I would say on a scale of 1-10 1 being the lowest, I would give this a 9.2 for appearance.

Smell: When I first started curing the buds they retained their skunkyness
from growing. But I popped my 3 month cure jar today and man its still skunky but there are hints of lemons and pine. When you break the bud up it will stink a whole room up in no time. It smells like skunk, fuel, spice, and undertones of lemon. It is very pleasing to the senses, and definitely a fan favorite out of all the bud I have. Its good to know that a skunky plant with some funk undertones came out to be so sweet smelling almost. I give it a 9.5 I've had better smelling bud, but this stuff is unique.

Taste: When sampling this bud for test purposes I took baby hits to sample the flavor. It reminds of when I was a kid and I fell and got dirt in my mouth but with something lemony sweet mixed in there. The aftertaste is a bit harsh which is a downfall but I can get over it. All in all taste would be a 8.5, it was good maybe a little better flush before harvest next time...lesson learned.

High: Honestly I have to say for being mostly or supposedly known to prefer indica dom. strains she is really heady but with a balanced body buzz. I feel that some kind of Sativa was used in female seeds cross or I just got a rare pheno. Its one of those highs where you feel it behind your eyes then rushes to the back of your head. Makes you think about stuff and any small talk requires you to look at a clock and realize 2 hours just went by.The stone is really good I think, it doesn't put you to sleep but it sure does lock your ass in the couch. It's also a good giggly weed after you've had a few brews, very good social weed in my opinion. One downfall is this stuff straight retards you when the head high leaves and now your just really stoned.

I sampled this bud at different intervals and days to see the difference in how many hits you took in correlation with how high ya get.

After about 1 hit, you feel it. There is no creeper buzz about this. One adequate hit will render you useless for 45 minutes mentally.

After about 2 hits, you know your high you get the face rushes, and the strong stone sets in, better find the couch...some chips...and of course some OJ. Duration of actually high after 2 hits about 1-1:30 hours. This is what I prefer out of any sampling I did all around good buzz.

After about 3 hits, Intense head and body buzz. Very complex and if you ask me overwhelming. Kinda like one of those things many of you have experienced but you just sit there and you say to yourself..."man I'm fucked up" its like that. You get the noids which is a downfall but if you wanna get really buzzed this is what your shooting for. Duration intense for 45, then your buzzed for about 2 hours after that.

4+ hits, Point of no return. Simply said, I just smoked a whole bowl of this stuff now and literally my day is ruined. The high is intense, more head than body at first then your head high dissipates and the strong stone sets in. I have bad knees and have pain, this is some good medication. It numbs me up for at least I would say its been 3 hours.

Conclusion: All in all I would give this bud a 9.1. Good taste, smell, appearance, really good potency, good mixed buzz. Drawbacks, taste for some people, almost too overwhelming when consuming a large amount, .5 grams or more. All you need is about .15-.25 grams to get a good buzz on. But I hope you guys enjoy some old school genetics and let me know what you think. Be safe all and blaze one while reading this!

Yea I feel ya, its a unique high but I know theres better. Got some shipwreck beans some, kind of trainwreck hybrid so I'm gonna try those out with some supposed og kush bag seeds. I did it in favor of the old school genetics that influenced a lot of the dominant power house strains today.

Yea man I feel ya. I had 2, 4 packs, grew em out and this lady was the best out of 8. Its a shame I didn't keep a cut, she was golden. But it was some straight skunky with some funk mixed in with silvery resiny buds. Trust me the 9.1 is where its at, compared with other powerhouse strains for the price, its worth trying trust me.

My top 5-6 go as is.

Chemdawg- straight fire...nuff said
Diesel- "not sure what cut" 2 hitter quitter came from Chi town.
My NL
White widow- was called Sharon's when I got it. Don't know of the validity but hey.
Shipwreck- Good bud but was picked immature, could be better.
Strawberry Cough, kyle coughman's. Excellent bud, mostly Sativa. I like indica so yea.

Its a bold claim...I know but trust me it stands where it does because its that intense. Chemdawg and diesel are on another level, but nothing beats old school. It's kind of like knowing where you came from...you just always go back to it!

Crummy exhale taste and super potent lemoney white leafy resinous buds are the trademark of "real" Northern Lights.Sounds like you have it.Very nice.Sensi's version is just like that.Very stable universally potent plants are a good buy and nice breeding stock.NL is a good mixer and great weed.Reading this reminded me of the warm fall breezes that came with it.No denying its good weed. :joint: :joint: Chaco.

Yea, I take a small joint of my NL whenever I go fishing. I would say the past couple of trips have been the most enjoyable ever. Just sitting back, breeze in my face, and most importantly enjoying the outdoors. Catching fish is always a good thing, but when I smoke this it doesn't really matter if I do or don't. It always puts me in a great mood, smile locked and loaded and makes the time fly.

I just took about a 1/8 and put it in a smaller jar to cure for 6 months. I can't stand seeing my harvest sit and I slowly pick away at it...sad day. Had to stop my self from enjoying it all, now that little jar is tucked away with the others that deserve to be saved.

Great smoke report, and excellent looking plants. I have a pack of bcsc's nl#5, have you heard anything about there seeds?

Haven't heard about their beans. But I have stuck with female seeds and seen some Atomic NL's of a friend. Both were very similar in stature and smell. To be honest my plants were FAR FAR FAR from low odor. I had to deploy some serious odor control, broke out my centrifugal fan and scrubber lol.

But NL#5 is supposed to be some knockout smoke non the less. Germ those bad boys and enjoy the fruits of your labor. I would say look for the shortest stinkiest plants, I found that these are the ones that get you and your friends cooked for good! If you got a good mom running she should be pretty skunky. So I would take odor in consideration if looking for that keeper mom.
