Kuban Killer from russian breeder

Hello, fellow growers)
Want to share my first post and a second run of some cool AK-47, Northern Lights and russian sativa hybrid from russian breeders Kalashnikov Seeds.
Let's start with equipment:
I've got
Sodium lamp 250+daylight lamps 105+2х32
Grow box 80\50\40 cm
Watering: plastic bottle 1.5 liters and drop counter, РН 6.5 - 7
Soil: peat soil and expanded clay aggregate, 10 l pots
Ventilation: 2 channel fans
My first grow was outdoors - and the harvest was pretty big and quite nice. I loved it, all my friends loved it, so why not try indoors this time?
Sprouting was pretty fast, part of the seedlings went strait to the growbox, the rest were left under the sun on my balcony.

Vegetation - 44 days, fed it 3 times with organic mix and put it straight in the box for flowering.

They feel healthy, once a week I feed them a little and that's pretty much it. Today marks 54 days of vegitation and 3 days of bloom! Yeeeeah)

just wondering if you can give some details on your outdoor run. Was it Kalashnikov Seeds that you tried outdoors ? You said you were happy with the run but can you give a few details? when did you harvest, favorite strain, latitude grown at, ect.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

The indoor is looking great.

Peace GG

Here we go! Almost harvest time:woohoo:
I think I will let them stay a few more days, and a day in the dark. Unfortunately, I could not avoid burns, especially on the biggest buds! Next time I will use taller tent, cos this one will not do! Na-ah!

gorilla ganja, Yep, it was Kalashnikov Seeds and it was the same strain I’m using for indoor – Kuban Killer or Kubanski Ubiytsa. 48°07'N. The weather was sunny, I used tents and LED to give ‘em a head start, then I planted seedlings outside in a secret, well hidden garden. Finally they reached out to about 5.5 ft. Was pretty crazy! The effect and amount of dried stuff was immense, I must say!

Thanks for the info Dude. So you were happy with effect and yield. Did they all finish properly at that latitude for you?
The inside plants look about done. Looks like your going to get a really nice harvest.Good job.
Please tell us how they smoke when its cured and ready.

Peace GG

gorilla ganja, thanks bro! They could have stayed outdoor a bit longer, but the thing is - that garden of mine was near the forest, and plants started to be pretty visible for people who go there once in a while, so I was facing the possibility of unfortunate theft. A week more would've been much better. Still, I think the size of plants and colas made up in final crop.
Cured buds are very dark in color, taste and effect reminds me of AK, but more fruity and sweet.

Better safe than sorry with an early harvest I guess.

Now you can plan for a slightly more remote location for 2017 if that's possible and go the extra week. :tiphat:

corky1968, yeah you're right! Hopefully next time I'll grow inside my own garden, surrounded by fence so not a single curious hiker will run into my beautiful bebes.

How tall is that grow tent? Wondering if I will run into same issue when I try this strain. Nice looking buds though. I'll be checking in to see what you think if the final product.

Thank's again Dude. So you took them down due to security concerns and not bad weather and frost. What was the Approximate harvest date?
I'm considering some of there gear and first hand info is always best.

Peace GG

PersonalProvide, the tent is about 35 inches, so yeah - consider a taller one.
gorilla ganja, mid-September, but again plants could've bloom till the end of the month or even longer. It also depends on the amount of sunlight. The more they get is usually the better, but they start to bloom later, say beginning of August or even September in some cases.

One of my friends grows in greenhouse, and he starts to cover plants with black material, thus shorteting the daylight by a few hours and forcing them to bloom earlier. I think this will also work outdoors as well. Next time I'll try to built a tent around my plants with a roll up black cloth. It also saves plants from too much rain.
