Genetics: Deep Chunk x Kodiak Gold

Pheno: 60/40 Sativa/Indica

Flower Cycle: 8-9 weeks (56-63 days)


This is a hybrid I made. Both strains are IBLs with makes for a true
F1 hybrid.

Appearence: Dense army green to purple nugs, medium resin content, dark orange hairs.

Smell: Grapes, Skunk, Afghan, Coffee. Blends of both strains.

Taste: Same as smell, very grape tasting with hints of chocolate and coffee. Nice taste.

High: The high is more on the medium level of potency. Nice laid back mellow high. Not too intense but enough. Mostly body with a hint of head. 6/10

Overall: This phenotype was a nice blend of both strains. I was surprised how much Kodiak came through. DC is dominant but a few Kodiak traits overcame that. The plant itself is beautiful with purple buds and fan leaves. Nice fall colors. The colors come late in flower. I didn't care for the high and though the potency could be better but overall a nice little test hybrid.

Interesting report and strain. Some pics of the plant while growing and of the nugs would be nice..
Do you plan to back cross it to get some specific traits out or are you satisfied with the results?

I too made a Kodiak Kush(Kodiak Gold x Pine Tar Kush). What was your yield like? My cross seemed like a perfect blend of both parents also. The KG brought plenty of stretch to the hybrid,it had a ton of green and purple hand grenade shaped buds. I have pics in my old gallery.

Pics will be coming sooner or later. I just put my mother in flower so I'll take pics and post them as soon as I can. I do plan on doing F2's sooner or later. I'm sure there are a few more phenos in the mix, maybe even a better. As far as yield goes it's pretty low. Deep Chunk is a low yielder and KG can yield good. The mixture should be an low to low medium yield. I think this plant would do good outside though. It grows fast and stretches 2 1/2 times in the flower cycle.
