Know When To Fold 'Em

They say winners are experts at plan B.

Yesterday there was a notice posted in my building regarding a mandatory pest control inspection by the exterminator.

The assistant manager told me there were numerous Health Department complaints so The City was having the pest control company put together a comprehensive plan.

Anyone refusing inspection will be written' up for non-compliance and be given a formal unannounced inspection by DPH.

I have lived and grown here for seven years I have a 4x8 flower box, 3x3 split level vegetation in the closet, 25 gallon cloner in a 10x10x10 SRO.

Like the title says down it went. Filled a couple of contractor garbage bags and dumped it broke everything down and cleaned like a possessed roadie.

I just walked the inspector through and got the OK. It sucks trashing three crops (flower, veg, clone) but I'd do it again

Good for you. Not getting busted makes restarting the grow easier than trying to do it from jail.

Nothing to do now but take the loss and push the reset button.

Why? Was the building overrun with spider mites or something?

ROFL...I'm guessing that's Humboldt DPH's main complaint mites, powder mildew and mosaic virus.

No it's bed bugs. SF Board of Supervisors have recently changed there procedures regarding bed bug control.

I remember reading years ago about major pest control company's working with the CDC because they have trained personal with all the equipment and they would be quite useful in an emergency.

Now licensed pest control is working with DPH.

Prolly just my paranoia kicking in overdrive because of the shotgun breakdown, but I'm looking at the bug guy somewhere between the meter reader and The Simpson's FEMA army.

Sorry to hear that, man. Been there, I know it's not fun. Hope you get the chance soon to come back better than before!

I would have kept the plants; put them in garbage bags at the last minute so the smell doesn't have time to permeate; then put in cardboard boxes and stack somewhere.
Burn some incense or put a lamb roast in the oven just before he comes around.

To bad you couldnt put the plants at a friends house, at least some clones......a fresh start sometimes finds new strains, better keepers

I would have put the plants in a U-Haul rent a truck and parked it before they came. Also, whenever exterminators came to my place, I would tell them no way, I am extremely allergic to chems and cannot tolerate them in my environment. Helps to have a friendly doctor.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts, cheap shots and bon mots

kolboli and mugenbao exactly the point. Don't lose the war trying to win a battle. Time off is a good thing I haven't had a break in seven years.
Time to reflect on improvements...make it better.

Hammerhead and Retro time constraints eliminated moving the girls to save them. I pulled a fifteen hour shift the day the notice went up.

The building has regular scheduled 'sprays' regular treatments and complaints. A 'No Spray' note on the door is accepted per SF rental laws.

This was a full building inspection usually conducted by DPH but as I said earlier the inspection was conducted by a licensed pest control company anyone not allowing a voluntary inspection would be reported to DPH with a later full inspection.

Inspector walked through said 'what a clean room'...'what a big box' I passed with flying colors. Gonna change a few things. Do even better.

Well that was retarded you could have kept the clones in a small box easy.

.

He could have, but he decided he did not want to. Because you would have done it, but he did not, does now mean his actions were retarded.

Glad you made it through, sounds like you're excited about a revamp. Knock it out of the park.
