Knocked Up??? How ?

OK, so I harvested starting 3 weeks ago, and only took the parts that were ready.
The indica hybrids went 1st, then the sativa's.
The bottom half of the last one took forever for the tricomes to mature.
I harvested a couple days ago, and then noticed something.
She had three seeds growing.
This was the last plant, all alone in the greenhouse.
All the other plants were females, and all produced awesome bud.
The top of the plant did not have any seeds growing.
There were no bugs.
How the heck did that happen?

I do have a fresh air intake system with a fine screen to keep out bugs, but thought it took a male to get a female to seed.

All it takes is one 'nanner, and they are super easy to miss, especially with multiple plants. Be happy it was 3 seeds and not 3000.

Some strains will do that no matter how stable the environment.

They'll find a way when they aren't pollinated or harvested in a timely fashion. It's a survival factor, probably hard to breed out entirely. From the plant's perspective, its reason for being is to make seeds, so it will if it can.

I didn't know a plant could just do that.
But I did cut it in freaking half, and then left in the grow room under lights for at least a week.
Heard if I grew the seeds then it has a chance of being a hermaphrodite as well because now it's in the seeds DNA.
Am learning new stuff with every crop.
Thank you to everyone for your input.
Peace.

If it makes you feel better, the Chem/Diesel/Sour family is notorious for doing that, even in well dialed setups. Thai genetics do it too. Lots of strains will. Just part of growing.
