Hi everyone....

My big plans......I have set up a few growrooms in the past for the odd friend and Im sure I know enough to get a good grow growing. I am a carpenter and i have no problems building or wiring anything. As I said i know enough to get a good grow gowing but with everyones help we can make it a great one!

So my plans are to grow in a cab in my attic. Im building a cab for flowering and one for veg.I do have my own plans for what i will kit it out with. I am growing in
organic soil and nutes and now is where u guys come in...

I want to grow as cheap as possible to produce good plants, im sure everyone says that but if i spend to much the other half will put the breaks on....lol

Id like to know everyones opinion on how to kit this cab out on the cheap but to produce good plants. I want 9 plants in flower all the time so id like all your ideas on what products to use and why......

I have drawn a rough plan of what id like to do for a flowering cab and i will upload the veg one when i finish it....

So Fire Away Everyone.......

Be ready for crazy temperature fluctuations....

I have had horrible experiences with attic grows....

Good Luck to ya!!

Look for high enough temps you'll most likely need to use air conditioning for cooling. Other than that ease of access should be the only other draw back to an attic grow.

is your loft properly insulated mate?? even going in a cab id insulate if not... get a rol of the refletix type insulation from screwfix, you the stuff l;ike radiator reflector foil but double foil sided... use that stuff to insulate... that shuld help with fluctuations some.... a portable AC though as was said above will definately be handy for the hottest bits of july and august(im assuming ur UK)...
I wouldny be venting into the attic space if thats where ur box is going...can you knock a brick outta the chimney and put some duct in it to take the air right out? You deffo want it going straight out mate for sure.
Hows your budget?? i dont want to give suggestions but be out of reach.....
If you can, use a seperate fan to cool the lighting operating on the same timer as the lamp. a Nice danish drip tray from growell would be nice but as a carpetner u can knock a tray together and use some mareine epoxy to waterproof it no problems at all.
tjhermostatic control on ur main extraction. There are loads of dofferent controllers out there. or you could diy like the link in my sig.
anyway ill be back...
