I would give Dark Matter a 10/10. Great strain exactly like the description.
Started with 12 seeds and 100% germination.
Killed one runt along the way.
Once it was time to flower there was a good spread of plants. Most of them were tall and vigorous, but a few were slower growing but not so slow that they qualified for the bin.
By the end of flowering there were 4 outstanding females. Two of them got a little mould in the bud because they were so dense and not near the air flow. My mistake for not moving them. Another was great but was a little finicky about wet/dry cycles and would crisp up so quickly if the pH wasnt perfect. Im too lasy for that type of woman so she got binned. The last was the slowest growing plant and she was perfect in every way except lowest yielding phenotype.
-The two that got mould ended up going 11 weeks. Totally worth it too. Super fat dense buds on both.
-The finicky one also had fat buds even tho she was totally abused. If I had the desire to cater to this plant she would have been kept.
-The slower one smelled skunky in contrast to the others which were sweet. Thicker pistils that dried to a nice pastel orange color. Came in at 8.5 weeks, could go the full 9 if you wanted. The high was a lot better on this one too, and always gave me very intense dreams which is really rare ime with smoking.
Potency is about an 8... on all the females I had
Yield was really good. Ran a few clones of each for a second run. Zero vegged some, topped some, and all turned out great.
I know there is some controversy about KOS, but I stay out of it. In the future I would buy more beans from them based on the plants being exactly as advertised.
