Did you overwater them?
Co-signed. Overwatering is the most common method of murdering seedlings. Water seedlings sparingly to prevent overwatering & let them completely (or real close to it) dry out before watering again. The dry soil promotes root growth cuz the roots stretch for moisture in dry soil. (Wow, I almost sounded like I know a lil something!! Freakin shocked myself, thanks to OG & IC & all of the knowledgable & helpful cats that I have lurked thru their threads for years....jj, ur one of them!!)

My last grow I used miracle grow potting soil & sta-green with different plants, as an experiment. Sta-Green is a very, very mild & balanced soil....not hot at all. The plants in MG grew quicker but also showed signs of burning, off/on thruout the grow. The Sta-Green plants stayed lush, healthy & green thru the whole grow...even tho they were a bit slower & didn't yeild quite as much. Also, I popped 4 of TFD's "Pure" approx 6 weeks ago in Sta-Green with no probs what-so-ever.

Go pick urself up some miracle grow potting soil from wal mart and try again. miracle grow soil is cheap so if you kill em again you wont loose to much money. start the seedlings in a small 20 oz plastic cup or somthing of that size so its not as easy to over water.

really? doesn't most miracle grow have time release fertilizers in it? I've seen lots of seedlings/plants from grows get completely burnt or die from mg.

do you know the pH or the ppm of the water you're feeding it with?

2 soil grows with miracle grow potting soil with extra perlite here. Results were really good with both grows. If u check my gallery..the 1st grow & the larger plant on the 2nd grow are both in MG. I've heard tons of people complain about MG but it served me well for 2 soil grows with random bagseed, slight burns on the last grow BUT never killed the plant & the buds came out very nice!

I would not switch to DWC until u get a couple grows done in soil, but to each his own. I'm gwan b switching to dwc in the near future but there is much for me to learn!! Remember, soil is the most forgiving medium that u can grow in.
Either way...good luck.

Miracle Grow is so hated on by the pot growing community for false claims everyday.
I think it is time to tip are hats off to Miracle Grow...for making a good soil medium for people that budgets are a concern!!
GO MIRACLE GROW!!!!

I just lost 4 of my seedlings from underwatering. I cannot believe I did that. Seedlings need more water than the larger plants.

If your gonna go with soil I suggest using FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil and amend it with perlite in a 50/50 ratio.

Screw MG soil and all those other cheap ass soils... Invest a few more bux and reap the rewards.

Add some Dolomite Lime and Mychorizzae at about 1 teaspoon a gallon and water every 2-3 days and you should be good.
