I ran all my waste through a pollinator and was a little dissapointed with the yield so i ran the waste from the pollenator through some butan and got the best oil i have made(used less gas this time)Here are some samples of the product. The snake is a little oil added to the kief. Awesome hash i might add.

Some oil and hash

And mixing in some BHO

It is tasty allright and damn potent i might add. It is the first time that i am satisfied with my BHO. But i am wondering if high humididy caused my low yield from the pollinator. I got 9 grams of kief( running 1 min, 3 min and an hour) and from the waste from the pollinator i got about 3 grams of BHO. It was a rainy day when i made the kief.

The harvest curing in the closet.

BHO still evaping

Kief + BHO = Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!

You got 9g of kief from what amount of trim? High humidity does cause a decrease in yield of dry sieving.
Was your trim very dry and frozen?

I have no idea of the weight of the shake but if i had to guess i would say around 150 grams. It was from 3 Afghan Hindu Kush, 1 Nothern Lights and 1 NL x Big Bud. I did freeze it but it could be that the shake wasent dry enough. It felt dry to the touch but not dust dry.

Well the rule of thumb is 5% yield for trim, up to 10% if it's covered in triches and what i consider A+ (which includes pop corn buds), and bud is usually 10-15%. I've only achieved 15% once with ultimate moonshine buds.
Based on 5% would be 7.5g based on your estimate which is an acceptable return.
Matching screen hole opening size to trichome head size is also important. That particular strain i would say 110 lpi or 155 micron would be appropriate.

i think the pollinator has 125 lpi but im not so sure. The shake consisted of frosty trim and pop-buds. Here is the NL just starting too cure:

And the BHO all stirred up.

looks good dude!

I usually mix my keef with oil too, makes it easy to work with.

maybe if you're crazy enough to make bho, you might want to look at my isomerization thread.

yes your problem was probably that the material was damp and the pollenator dried it out after which you got the goodies! Try putting a couple of silica gel packets into a drawer with your material for a quick dry.
