Kentucky "Russian" cornbread mafia strain

Anyoneknow if the old cornbread mafia "russian" strain bred by johnny boone and crew is still around in some form? Mentioned many times in the book corn bread mafia and was very widely grown so seems likely still kicking àround somewhère.. maybe reñamed?

Yep they used to call it Russian / Afghani back in 82 tray the Tashkenti

that's try , think it is an Ace strain from Uzbekistan , it was controlled by the old Soviet Union and many hash makers fled to Northern Afghanistan when the Russians occupied their country .

agreed it most likely came from uzbekistan or surrounding area by the name but interested in if the actual corn bread russian strain still lives on as from the size of those many cornbread grows some major selection likely took place. For sure it most likely lives on in some marion county holler but always wondered if any of the available strains indiana bubblegum, killer newhaven etc. are just renamed russian.
