Tranquillo, all of you panic merchants. This IS an auto-flowering strain- It»s just a massive variety and it»s not going to begin flowering until it is pretty big; it can«t produce big yields over night, can it? This should end up over two meters tall if unpruned and well rooted and I genuinely think it could produce a kilo outdoors, without too much difficulty. So be prepared because, like an auto, this will NOT stop growing just because you«ve chickened out and put it on a 12/12.
On arrival, two of my seeds did look a bit ropey. I had a pot from which I»d just cut down a plant and for the sake of it and without so much as a flush, I chucked them in. Well, one came up and like a cuckoo, it took over the show. I«ve tried a superauto before; it cost a fortune and was scrawny rubbish. This girl is a MONSTER, I»ve never known a plant like it; she just wants to get big so she can produce bud. Believe me, it»s more disconcerting than it sounds if you’re tight for space and you weren«t expecting it. She came up like a jack-in-a-box, produced massive great fan leaves at six or eight inches tall and from then on in, I could barely keep her under control. She’s easy to grow and doesn»t give a stuff about the light cycle-I«ve grown her indoors and out, but she does need to get at least four or five feet tall before the magic begins to happen, so don»t panic. It«s a very unusual and useful strain in my estimation and a good smoke, so long as you like ’em large.
Long story short, I took some cuttings. One survived, I hit it with silver thiosulphate and hey presto; feminised seeds. And I still have the eight originals! Leave the bud on the plant too long and the lovely lemon flavour leaves and you just get pine resin. Serious guerrilla strain for peanuts. I«ve tried KC36 also- great strain; short, stout, tough and tasty, and I have Bahia Blackhead, Mindbender and Double D in storage. It doesn»t matter how much you pay for seeds; I«ve tried two or three dozen different varieties, Photo and Auto, cheap and expensive- you can screw them up just as easily. KC Brains really does provide top notch seeds for virtually nothing.

I would also like to hear other's experience with Kc45. From what I've read it seems to be semi auto, maybe it's just a f1.. Description says 50/50 sativa and ruderalis. I have found only one or two reports of it auto flowering. Many have switched to 12/12 after waiting for it to auto and giving up. No recent reports available, though. I have six seedlings in soil atm. Will keep them on an auto light schedule. My plan was to cross Kc45 with an asian photo sativa to make an auto version of it, but I am sceptical if Kc45 can transmit any auto gene effectively. It seems very unstable auto wise.
Mixed reports on the potency as well.
I will report my experience in four months from now...

Great, thanks for the confirmation, rolandomota.
I will not give up on the Kc45 then. I bought them as they were cheap sativa autos in regular form.
I wanted them as a pollen donor to a sativa landrace photo that I want to turn auto. I will f3 the kc45 to ensure it is fully auto before I cross it with my landrace then.

They sure are besutiful plants. After flip to 12/12 they doubled in size.. Manageable with lst, but still vigorous. By far the most vigorous that I have grown so far. Twice as tall as my Y Griega and my cambodian landrace from khalifa. Buds are swelling and f2 seeds are forming nicely. They look stellar. Quite some time left before I can sample them. F2 generation might be interesting. I fear ruderalis looks and low potency amongst the phenos, but I reckon I am sure to find a pheno looking like the ones budding right now. Selecting the best sativa phenos in the f2 will hopefully give me an auto version of what I am looking at in the closet right now. And that's exciting, as it is tall, light green with long, slender sativa leaves. I have yet to see those traits in a true auto..

Now I have harvested one Kc45. It was seeded and picked a bit early to get the f2 seeds going. The f2s are at their second node now. Early to say any thing about phenos yet. The buds are beautiful light green with orange pistils. The high is happy and all in the head. Aroma is citrus. Quite pleased with the strain. If these characteristics carry through to the fully auto generations, I will be more than happy for this quality for the low price. Still waiting for these nugs to cure, and my last two kc45s are still throwing out new pistils, so I'll give them a few more weeks.
