Hey all,

I've not been active on this site for a long time. I'm looking to reconnect with some old friends, make some new friends, and have fun along the way. Figured Christmas was as good a time as any to kick off a new grow diary.

I've been primarily a coco grower for the last 10+ years. I love growing everything, but landrace sativas are my favorites. Here's a little info on what I've got going on right now:

Table 1: 4x8'
Medium/Containers: 100% Coco + 1 Gallon Pots
Lighting: 630w LED + 600w HPS
Strain: AoF x Sensi Star (m/f) + 4 clones (f)
Lighting: 12/12 - Day 2
Temps: 75-78F (lights on), and 65-67F (lights out)
PH: 5.8-6.1

Pull up a chair, make yourselves comfortable, feel free to chat, bullshit, and have fun. More to come soon.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you too. :xmastree:

Maybe you can help me decide, looks like you're running Ebb and flow.
I'm torn between dtw and e&f when going to coco.
Guess e&f just needs more watering schedules and a good nutrient brand made for it? More water usage in e&f maybe?

Happy growing ☮️

Thanks for stopping by!

I’m actually going DTW and hand watering each container daily. Soon I’ll get my res setup and then I’ll automate that process too.

Nothing wrong with ebb/flow, but I’ve been using DTW for so long and never found a reason to change anything. It’s really easy to mix up 10 gallons of nutrients - I’m in and out of there in about 20 minutes. It’s just so easy and it works.

Quick update here. Today is day 6 since flip; I'm very impressed with the vigor that I'm seeing. The canopy has exploded in the last 6 days and I will need to start defoliating soon. I'm seeing a very nice mix of both males and females; there is a lot of uniformity, but I'm seeing a few outliers that are either very squat or quite lanky with nice internodal spacing. The plants have responded very well to the gradual increase of nutrients up to 1.4-1.6 EC; I don't anticipate going much higher than this for the entire grow - I'm thinking 1.8 EC will be the absolute max depending on how the plants respond. Less is usually more.

If you notice any spots on the leaves, this is due to a recent application of IPM. I don't have any pests, but I spray a very diluted dose (1/4 strength) of Lost Coast Plant Therapy. It's mostly alcohol, peppermint oil, and some other stuff. It's gentle, smells nice, but it temporarily leaves spots on the leaves when it dries. I'll probably hit the plants one more time with the IPM next week before I stop any further spraying as we get into bud development.

Strain: Aunt of Farouk x Sensi Star + Sunset Sherbet x Black Lime Reserve Clones
Sex: Regular Seeds + Clones
Medium: 100% Coco Coir
Nutrients: 1.4-1.6 EC
Water: Filtered Tap Water
Watering/Feeding: Once Daily
PH: 5.8-6.3 (Fluctuations)
RH: 50-60% (Fluctuations)
Lighting: 630w COB LED + 600w HPS @ 75% Power
Status: Day 6 - 12/12
Daytime Temps: 72-78F/22.2-25.5C
Nighttime Temps: 65-68F/18.3-20C

More to come!

Two weeks today. I've got the males moved off the main table; planning to either isolate and collect pollen or do a full open pollination. I'm planning on turning most of this into hash so I'm not really concerned with the seeds.

Sex: Regular Seeds + Clones
Medium: 100% Coco Coir
Nutrients: 1.1-1.2 EC (Reduced)
Water: Filtered Tap Water
Watering/Feeding: Once Daily
PH: 6.0-6.3 (Fluctuations)
RH: 50-60% (Fluctuations)
Lighting: Females = 630w COB LED + 600w HPS @ 75% Power / Males = 450w LED
Status: Day 14 - 12/12
Daytime Temps: 72-78F/22.2-25.5C

Let's jump right in folks. Today is Day 35 of flower. I'm planning to start scoping trichs around week 8, but I'm planning on letting these girls get a bit of amber before I chop em.

Everything has been dusted with a variety of pollen from the AoF x Sensi Star males. The odor has really been ramping up in the last week. There's an amazing variety of phenos and I'm having a lot of fun seeing these lovely ladies express themselves with different aromas and structures. Early aromas remind me of fruit jam/hash, with some serious funk/fuel on the back end that becomes more apparent when you get your hands on her. Can't wait to see how that changes as she really starts to develop.

Feeding has been slightly increased to 1.3-1.5 ec and the plants have responded very well to this; as we near the final weeks this will be decreased down back to the 1.1-1.2 range. I may have been overly ambitious trying to keep these girls in 1 gallon pots for as long as I did... in hindsight these should have been transplanted into slightly larger containers since I let them veg a little longer than originally planned. Given the small pot size these girls have responded better to twice daily feedings; they're now getting 1L of water in the morning, and again in the evening.

Strains: Aunt of Farouk x Sensi Star + Sunset Sherbet x Black Lime Reserve Clones
Sex: Regular Seeds + Clones
Medium: 100% Coco Coir
Nutrients: 1.3-1.5 EC
Water: Filtered Tap Water
Watering/Feeding: Twice Daily
PH: 5.9-6.2 (Fluctuations)
RH: 42-45% (Fluctuations)
Lighting: Females = 630w COB LED + 600w HPS + 430w LED @ 100% Power
Status: Day 35 - 12/12
Daytime Temps: 70-75F/21.1-23.8C

I've been so damn busy... between work, family, and everything else I haven't had a lot of time to update.

I chopped a couple plants down at week 9; mostly some cuts I was running alongside the AoFxSensi gals. A couple AoFxSensi came down as well but the majority were telling me that they weren't ready. Plants have been dealing with consistently cold temps and it really shows in their color - some of these gals are so dark purple they're almost black. A few weeks back I flipped all these gals over to 11/13 to help everything ripen up quickly - even with that it looks like the majority of these gals are going to hit 11-12 weeks. I'm into week 10 at this point and I'm still seeing 20-30% of the trichs crystal clear. Had one pheno ripen up early, but the rest of these ladies want to keep going. Trichome production is outstanding and these gals are caked and greasy with resin.

Plants are looking a little rough, but I'm happy with the results since this is primarily a seed run. :dance013:

Here's a shot right around week 9 before the first few plants were brought down. I'll try to snap some more pictures before the rest come down in the next week or two.

Couple of bud shots from the recent AoF x Sensi Star harvest. Detailed smoke report coming soon. Still needs a proper cure. I’ll get some harvest pics up as well as time allows.

Made a bunch-o-beans from this run as well. I’d like to explore this again in the near future.

Cheers,
Kas

Beautiful flowers Kask-mate 😁

Cheers mate! I had a great time with this grow. :smoke out:

Very nice pictures and clean grow. These nuggs must hit heavy, aren't they?

Thanks broski! Definitely a heavy hitting indica! The couple rips I took gave me full body sweats, she’s definitely not lacking potency! o_O

I ran a couple small sample bowls through my ball vape at 550F (287C). The sample I vaped was tasty and reminded me a lot of the black hash I used to smoke in Germany.

The high is immediate and powerful. Numbing pressure behind the eyes, forehead, and temples. This numbing pressure rapidly creeps through your entire body until you're numb head to toe. The high is a very comfortable/relaxing full body indica stone. This would be an awesome strain for migraines/pain, insomnia, or for unwinding after work. The high lasted a solid 3+ hours, and I had a bit of leftover indica stupor for several hours after that.

I’m looking forward to doing more testing once she’s cured properly! I’ll do a better follow up review soon.

Kas

I'd been planning on running a big sativa next, but work is sending me away from home in early July so that'll have to wait. When I get back from that trip it'll be time for another sativa.

I've got just enough time to run a few more faster flowering girls. I've got some schweet genetics from a buddy of mine - Amnesia Haze Core Cut & Peanut Butter Pie. These were all existing motherplants that were about to be cycled out with new rooted cuts; instead they're heading onto the table to flower out. I usually cycle moms out with new cuts every few months so you'll notice the Peanut Butter Pie girls are looking a little rough; they were severely rootbound in 1 gallon pots of coco; they're on the rebound now after being transplanted into 3.5 gallons.

This quick run is going to be a half-ass scrog. I didn't train these girls for scrog, but they're going to get trained under the screen anyway. These should explode in size once I flip this weekend. There's going to be quite a bit of pruning and training that needs to be done in the coming few weeks. I'm looking forward to it!

As usual doing this in 100% coco DTW.

Table 1: Amnesia Haze Core Cut - on the ends & Peanut Butter Pie in the middle.

Table 2: Peanut Butter Pie. Hoping I can fill this canopy out quite a bit during the stretch. It'll have to do either way.

I love the rare weeds that taste like full hash. Enjoy! I'm planning an indica grow this season. I'll run the Erdpurt and Dank Sinatra, also want to cross them for a heavy indica hash smoke like yours :)

That sounds like an amazing cross man! My buddy just ran some Dank Sinatra and said it was excellent. Hope you do a grow log!

@Kaskadian

Your buddy must be happy to have this plant. I myself don't know her yet, but I have heard good things about her. I will show at least some picture of my grow, but the reall log will be on a german forum. It'll be outdoors and some time must pass, so I can start.

Happy eastern
