KandyKush x KandyKush

Hello everybody

Im coming here with a question that turn in my mind for several days. I have done a "cross", if i can use that word it sounds too big for what I did , of Kandy Kush from Reseva Privada. I had a male and keep it till it gives desent amount of pollen and put some on female flowers. As a result, I have a batch of approximately 40 good seeds. I did that 3 years ago. For some personal reason I had to cut from growing for a moment and I had to restart from seeds.
And as you guess, I restarted from those seeds. On 9 seeds, 7 males and 2 females, I cloned the females and let the two big girl into flowering . And the result is different from the Kandy Kush I had.I expected that, the weed is good, not dry enough yet ( and not cured yet of course ) to give his full perfume but I can already says that it is different. It has that kushy scent but not as strong as i had with the mother. But a huger producer than the mom. And the second pheno is a little bit different too, the buds looks more " fox tail" shape, and I guess it will be more tasty, and it looks bigger producer too.
Its has been few days I was looking about the lineage of trainwreck and og kush, wich are apparently the parents of the Kandy Kush. Is this strain "stable" ? Is it possible that the cross reveal even some parents of the trainwreck or the kush ? ( I will guess trainwreck, its more lemony than kushy ). I didnt find anything about the trainwreck lineage on the net, I guesse some heads here would have some good and smart answers.
Thanks for having read that, and sorry if I did some English mistakes, its not my mother language.

The answer is yes. When making f2's like you did(or whatever gen Rp is on now) , the subsequent seeds can show variations you did not see in the mother plant. It's a very common occurrence . Totally normal experience you're having.

Thanks a lot DoubleTripleOG,I was guessing that but my knowledge about f1 , f2 etc are too light. If im not wrong a F1 come from two stabilized strain or landrace ? Maybe do you know the lineage for trainwreck ? Im living in a not free cannabis country, I have never tried real trainwreck, but I do know OGKush. And the flavor I have is very sweet lemony with some spice. I have to say that I grow organicaly in soil indoor and I flush for 2 weeks. I will have a look on the forum to see if i found some answers, but there are so many posts..it will take time :D
Again thanks for your answer

Yes you have the right idea about F1's. I do not know the exact lineage of TW. it might be here soemwhere. Search for trainwreck in the thread title search tab above.

Ok, thanks, you look aware on that dude :) Yes I had a look and I found a conversation about trainwreck lineage...lots of stories...the most believable to me is its a low thai x Mexican X afghani, but who knows ? Surely not me :D as I had even never tried it
I will post pictures of buds with a descent light tomorrow, nearly midnight here, maybe the "look" of the bud will remind you something...too bad there is no scent and taste with a picture !!! Its funny Its almost looks like Amsterdam Big bud ( strain I never grown and i never was a fan of it ) but with a head high and compact buds...not what I was waiting for but Im happy with. I guess and hope the second pheno will be more flavorfull. Its lack of taste in my opinion

Just smoking some nice dry bud, it has a lemony spicy ,little kushy bottom end. Nice but not as favorfull as the mother i had . I will see after the curing.
I was wondering what would happened if i re-use some old pollen ( I doubt it works, its too old and not well store, i should take care about it more ) on the female on my next grow...wil it become an f3 ?

Hello Happy Times.

Reading what you said, I really guess the "cross" is more trainwreck dominant. It stil has a light kushy at the end ( some reminisce from OGKush frm the original mother i guess ) but mostly peppery even a little bit, not acrid, its a too strong word for that, i dont have the word in english to describe that, and lemony.
Thanks for your taste description , it fits to what I have here. I will post some pics later
Cheers

Hello

For those who are curious about it, the second phenotype wich took longer time to finish, at 72 days , is much more tastier than the first, it reminds me of sourdiesel , not as strong flavor, maybe much NYdiesel, but much more citrusfruit than "diesel " , the scent is citrusfruit and the taste match with it. Im just wondering where does it come from...sooo far from the kush mom, but sooooo delicious and strong smoke. Very strong buzz, felt in the eyes, stronger than the first phenotype. FoxTails type buds but dense.
If some are interested , I can post pics of buds.
