kali mist

I was wondering if anyone can give me a detailed descriptin of the kali mist that is availably today as i have been interested in this strain for quite a while. it seems that it is a bit of a controversial strain. what i really want to know is how she differs in the high compared to the "pre 98" strain.
is she still a sativa champion? :confused:

im not sure if ive smoked the pre 98 version but have smoked and grown the later version and it sure is a sativa champion
buds from top to bottom of plant, very stable not much variation, very spicy hazey and a madd rushing buzz is what you will get
definately worth it

The pre98 Kalimist is a bit more spicey than de new version.

I still grow the 2003 version and it is a very nice, wel producing haze that takes arround 10 weeks to finish...

Thanks guys, that pretty much sums up what i was looking for. I am looking forward to growing her under the harsh australian sun.

the kali mist i smoke tasted great kind of fruity. I didnt pack the punch i want but im pretty sure that because of the grower, commercial crap that someone just grows and throws in the bag. No cure but was very good. I was mixing that with some silver haze that was alot more potent but no taste really and together they tasted great with a killer high -=P dont know if that helps but i think grown right and treated right they would be killer.

When did they switch it up again? I know a couple of years back Serious added some Indica to increase yield, but then I thought they brought back the old version {that was most loved}.

after simon and the other guy went separate ways, simon crossed the pre 98 serious version with an indica to increase yield whereas the other guy crossed the pre98 with a haze. THEN for the 2000 serious edition, simon crossed the pre 98 version with a more sativa dominant father, albeit one that was a good yielder, in order to get the original sativa high but with a better yield too. I'm growing the 2006 version right now (3rd day in 12/12) and will chime in with how it smokes, though it will be my first kali so's i won't be able to compare to anything besides pure haze.

im guessing im growing the 2006 version as well.
its only on day 37 of flower. but has a very lemony fruit smell. spicy... a tingle. but the lemon smell is very overwhelming.
from what i gathered this version is suppose to be something similar to the 98 version.
let's hope so. i want a nice clear up hiiiigh.

no prob , i got one in veg now and she is a big eater, seems like i can't give her enough ferts. Im hoping she is a nice daytime smoke so i can keep her:)

k guys Kali Mist has been my fav smoke ever since i first puffed it at the Greenhouse Namaste in 1997 when i was backpacking Europe...and hands down by far it was the best weed I have ever smoked too this day..It was the closest thing to smokeable LSD...the most cerebreal high and it actually gave mild trails..like on shrooms or acid..and i was a seasoned smoker still am....

so the story is that Simon added a hint of some indica to bring down the flowering period and give some needed weight( the original kali mist was very wispy airy buds)
so as far as I know the only avaliable seed form of the original Kali is REz's version that he has used in his Apollo Mist and Quick Mist strains i have both just started some Quick Mist for my backyard..Hope this helps

Btw - I mentioned this 'lemony' smell of one or both of my main two kali's in my thread the other day. What caught my interest was the other word you used, 'tingle'. I mentioned the lemon smell being 'pleasing' but 'stinging my nose a bit'. Maybe we have the same pheno?

Actually, your 'bushy' kali #2 is the one that looks most like my KM 1&2, especially judging from your day 10 topdown and3/4 view photos.
