so i sampled the sativa pheno today - kali mist is my favorite!
well i got around to sampling the sativa pheno and it rocks too! kali mist is my all time favorite strain (right now). i germed 3 or 4 seeds (can't remember
) and i ended up with two awesome female plants one indica pheno and one sativa pheno. they were grown in the beautiful california sunshine and pulled in november. they share some traits: sticky, frosty, clog the end of the joint with resin (on your lips too), if you try and take too big of a hit you will cough and both will get you majorly stoned. nice work serious seeds. for someone like me that does not really do clones (i have a few times, but i like seeds better) i really appreciate consistent quality. i am not looking for a clone in a seed type of consistency, i just want exceptional quality cannabis. a few different phenos are great as long as they are all top notch smoke. this is what i am finding with kali mist. here is a brief report on each pheno that i grew. please bear in mind that my sativa kali suffered a battering from a storm and was nearly uprooted. fortunately as she fell over, she landed on a lawn chair that kept her from fully falling over. so when i came home i righted her and tied that bitch up about 6 different ways. she never really got any bigger after that accident, but she did stay alive and ripen. it turned out good enough, but i am sure it could of turned out better.
the indica pheno has bigger, very dense, floral, perfumey and sticky frosty buds. the taste is floral and perfumey and smoke is expansive. the stone is heavy, heady and very pleasant maybe a little paranoid.
the sativa pheno has the classic airy sativa structure, but the buds are small because of the trauma she endured. the buds are covered in trichs. the sativa pheno appears even frostier than the indica pheno. it does not have as much smell as the indica pheno, nor the floral perfumey quality. the smoke is sweet, spicy and a little harsh (maybe a little too dry and not much cure) and expansive. taking a big hit (vaporizer or joint) makes like your lungs feel a little wheezy like there is resin coating your lungs blocking the oxygen from entering. the high is very cheerful, pleasant sativa heady high with moments of paranoia. it is not as heavy as the indica pheno.

in the final analysis, i like the indica pheno better this go around, but it was not really a fair contest. i hope that i did not ramble on too much, but kali made me do it.
