Kali Mist indoor organic serious seeds first run

Goal: 1000 watt legal Kali Mist grow, with a veg tent for a perpetual.

New Grower here(Storminmormon) being mentored by Sneaky_g.

We ordered Serious Seeds Kali Mist. No problems with shipping, all went smooth. Most of the seeds popped the first night. I think there was one seed that didn't respond at all.

On to a Veg under a T-5.

We had a ventilation problem and there were a couple of stressful days and lessons in patience and adaptability. We now have proper intake and exhaust. It was quickly fixed and the plants have bounced back.

We'll be updating with pictures as often as we can. Please do not hesitate to leave comments or suggestions about our grow. We will be looking at this thread every day, and would be happy to accept any advice or criticism you have for us. If you need better pictures also let us know and we'll have them taken and uploaded asap.

Our temps and humidity right now:

This is with a t-5 light and just a simple exhaust and intake with fans. We are thinking of trying to scrounge up a humidifier, but we don't know if it's worth the money. What do you guys think? I read that 80% humidity is optimal during veg.

Right now we are just watching them develop. Seeing a few different types I think, which is really exciting! Some of them have some issues that we are trying to solve. You'll see it in these pictures:

We dropped the sprouted seedlings in Vermicrop organic potting soil (.8-.5 .3). Tonight I transplanted 4 out of 9 of them into ocean foxfarm . The roots were pretty solid at the bottom of the styrofoam when i pealed it off to transplant.

We will be flowering her under a 1000 watt HPS ( hortilux bulb).

Thanks for dropping in =) Love any suggestions / feedback.

Looking good. As he said above me it's either too hot of soil or too weak and maybe some over watering. Let the cups dry out to the point right before the plants will droop and then give them more water.
If it doesn't get better and they continue to yellow I would guess there is a lack of nitrogen. Not sure how much Kali mist likes to eat nitrogen since I've never grown it but a dose of fish mix always fix any yellowing problems I have.

Lol posted as I was making a response. The ocean forest has good nitrogen in it so that should fix the yellowing hopefully. Best of luck with the rest and can't wait to see more pics.

Hi stormin, liking the nice, clean setup man. Loved the pic of the exhaust ducting fitting snugly into the window hole.

Don't worry about spamming with photos bro. It's your thread so if you say it's photo time, it's photo time! Everyone loves big photos anyway.

Only thing I would suggest is that the girls are looking slightly pale. If you get a minute, could you give us a break down of your soil content? It will either be soil or temps.

I'm thinking the yellowing had to do with the ventilation before... they were strangling themselves because their wasn't any circulation.. The exhaust fan had no ducting going to the window and was hanging freely out of a top vent hole in the tent. so it was recirculating used air through the lung room basically not doing its job.. Once i fixed the ventilation issue and exhausted it to the window and added a small intake fan on the other side of the tent, the plants looked much better.

I only transplanted 4 out of 9 into Foxfarm ocean and noticed that the bottoms of cups were filled with roots , so i saved the smallest ones to do until tommorow to see how the 4 that i transplanted tonight react..

As for the seedlings they went into vermicrop organic potting soil .8 .5 .3 . Humidity is around 50-55 and temps 71-81

Today I went to the hydro store and spent 105 dollars on. I also purchased a hoe with a hole in it, and a new tarp as well as a mask.. (That lime is bad stuff to breathe)

1 x Bag of Ocean Forest
1 x Bag of Canna Coco
1 X Bag of Happy Frog
1/2 Bag Chunky Perlite
30# Earthwormcastings
6 cup pulverized dolomite lime 1-2 Cal/mag ratio
6 cups Bone Meal
3 cups Blood Meal
3 Cups Azomite
3 cups Greensand
3 cups Kelp Meal

I'm thinking i'll let them veg out for about a month in the 2 liters of ocean forest, than bump them up to the above recipe where they will finish in 5 gallons... That way I won't have to feed with anything but basically straight water.. That recipe is from PK's 30 sour bubble thread if anyone is familiar with what he did

What do you guys think? any suggestions in changes to the above recipe? to finish them with

Subbed! I just got a pack of serious Kali Mist in the mail two days ago and its definately on the agenda for finding a sativa dom mom its either that or MNS mango haze I havent decided which to run first yet so Ill be watching closely.

I hear good things about the Kali still .... Looking forward to your grow!

They do look pretty yellow but the transplant should fix em.

Thanks for stopping in! The last time I had kali mist was in 2005, 1 nug would stink the entire room up.. it was light green covered in trichomes, and when you cracked a nug shades of light colored purple. We definately want to find a female keeper to add to our mother tent in the future to pull clones from.

Do you recommend topping kali mist around 4 weeks? Or whats ur opinion.. I was thinkingi of topping them all and than LSTing , maybe bumping up to a 600 watt MH and hook up the portable ac

I may not be the best person to ask but I'm planning on topping and lst ing heavily. My space is vertically challenged though I start running out of room once they get 3' ....and from what I've heard if you go 12/12 from seed you can still end up at 4-5' with her so ill definitely top and train. Probably veg for no more then a week before flip

with temps reading at about 81 F consistently , how close would you recommend leaving my t5 to the tops of my plants? Also, i'm thinking of topping soon, or would you guys wait for roots to become more established? After plants recover from top i'm planning on LSTing them all so they don't stretch as tall and i get a more consistent canopy

temps are consistently around 80 and humidity 50-55 on average (unless i spray in their it goes up to 65)
