Hi hypersomniac,

If your Kali China keeps the purple colors in the stems and under leaves during its development is a sign of strong influence from the purple China Yunnan hashplant pheno used to breed Kali China, which is a really good sign and quite frequent in latest Kali China releases. Best wishes for the grow!

Hyposomniac, I hope you enjoy your KaliChina as much as I have envied mine. She is curing in jars and I can't hardly part with her. Friends and family have asked for her to sample. I will selfishly hold on to her and admire her through her tinted antique glass palace. Saving up to get a breeders pack of these seeds. Peace

Will be updating in the kali sticky, which i missed, as grow progesses.
The purple color remains! However i had some major VPD issues in the room but i now have a humidifier kicking out the jams and all is recovering.

I had a similar thing happen in a Panama Red male. I called it the Double Leaf mutation. on mine it grew a whole extra set of fan leaves right there, eventually.

She is my favorite scent in the garden.. It evolves everyday but i hope it keeps what i like about it.

Touch a bud and your fingers smell first like a sweet oil, not at all funky like motor oil or auto gear oil. Light fuel oil w a drop of cedar. Hindu Kush comes to mind.
Then touch your fingers together and it bursts into a strong bergamot smell. Earl Grey, hot. Nobody makes earl this grey.
Vegged a while.. Topped to 4 mains, light supercropping to bring up a few secondary branches...Shes been slowest to start flowering.
Day 32. Pic later

I really like Kali China. The taste and smell are fantastic.

I was just looking at my dwindling KC stash. The thought of running out made me dash off a quick order direct to AceSeeds.

Hi,

I'm glad you are enjoying with the aromas of your Kali Chinas :)
I also think Kali China has probably the most complex and interesting terpene profile of our entire catalogue.

Yes, some Kali Chinas like to grow buds in some of the fan leaves, it's not very frequent, but not rare to find if you grow enough plants of the strain.

Hi hyposomniac,

Most Kali Chinas are ready after 60 days of flowering, kindly post recent pics of the flowers and i will confirm whether is the right moment for harvest.

I think she could use some more time.. Still too many clear glands for my taste, and almost no amber.
This is a nug picked today, day 63 of 12/12. And she took some extra time to start flowering. No hurry here.
Edit.. Smoked a ball of finger hash and my eyelid is twitching pretty hard. Thats my secret method of testing resin maturity..

Last night was day 81 and i harvested 2 main tops.. One more left.
Everything below the tops still looks 2 weeks out. Pics later.
Slow initiation and slow finish on all my plants.. I suspect new bulb.... Plus seedplants.. So its not really that far off.
Actually if you subtract then initiation period, we are really close to the 63days.

I have never used any FIM or Super cropping techniques. How long does it take the plant to recover from being stressed?
