K in peat moss?

The peat moss itself doesn't have potassium. Some of the mixes made with peat moss may have no potassium, some have a little, some have a lot.

Most commercial blends will list the K on the label. Seed sprouting mixes may not have any at all.

Peat moss, the remains of sphagnum plants, is probably its most common form; it contains less than 1 percent nitrogen, with phosphorus and potassium below 0.1 percent.

Peat moss helps prevent this nutrient loss. Just like it holds water, it holds onto those nutrients better than soil does on its own. If your soil retains more nutrients, plants can grow strong and healthy without as much fertilizing. Google
