Has anyone ever tried running an RDWC system outdoors?
If you stop and think, a properly sized aquarium chiller should be able to keep nutes within a reasonable temperature range; burying 'buckets', res and nute lines, would also help keep temperatures manageable. With insulation, one maay even be able to run it above ground. As long as the chiller and power connections for pumps and chiller were connected to a GFI circuit and protected from the elements it should be safe. Hopefully a union resulting in the best of both worlds (as long as kidz in the neighbourhood dont grow males from bagseed, outdoors).
I'm thinking of the new 35 gallon UnderCurrent bucket system as a trial, next summer. Any thoughts?
