I just broke the stalk on my skunk about 2/3rds of the way through! I dropped a damn box on it while it was already stretched to the max with my LST ties. SHIT! How doomed am I? Thanks.

if you can put braces around the break and secure them with twist ties, thats an option, if it's just kinked not crunched through your ok.

Ok, I just did that. Man, that plant looked PERFECT! I feel like shit now. I may have ruined it. We'll see what it looks like tomorrow. Ever since I added my HPS yesterday and got rid of those floros the bitches have grown like 2 inches! It's insane.

wtf steady smokin? lol

anyways..

That exact same thing happend to me on one of my soil plants, it bent right in the middle. I got a metal hanger, stuck it in the soil and tied string all the way up it. in 1 day it seemed to be growing fine.

he doesnt really have a grow thread from what i can tell, he tackles each issue as it comes, and there is something to be said for the value of not having to sift thru info that may be useless to you to find a specific topic. so lets not waste time debating his posting style as its not that strange..

ponics, where in the stem did you snap it? my ducting fell off the cool tube like 3 weeks into flo last round and topped one of my SDs. i was totally blown. ended up getting only 2 oz from her :( however it did not kill her just inhibited the cola.. so where did yours get snapped? if its not too bad, splinting may fix as was suggested. if it is bad, it depends on where it is - if its near the top you may only lose the cola..

as long as it hasnt snapped off completely it will be fine, it'll just regrow and form a knuckle
i snap em on purpose to allow side branches to catch up with the top and create a more even canopy (soma method found in soft secrets magazine)and it works great

Hey all, it seems to be doing fine so far. It wasn't so much that the stalk broke. Basically a big leaf/branch broke part way through and the area that it broke in was directly attached to the stalk. The stalk did take on a little damage, but the plant will survive.

I have my grow journal for pics and a timeline...not questions about my grow. I will often update about problems that I had any how I fixed them, but as buddy said, I don't like to sift through pointless posts to find an answer. The grow journal is for fun. The seperate posts are for easy search functions for me and EVERYONE in the future (as I am trying to contribute to this site). I don't even have a grow for my widow or skunk plants. That is solely for my AK48. Thanks guys.

Skunk. (no break visible in this pic, but I am holding it together with a twist tie).

Hey All  A little background since Im a noob here,

I should have LST my plants LONG before they were 3' tall & I started to. So Im trying to keep the girls from rubbing on my light cause it all hot and shit...

Bend, bend, bend some more and

She didnt look like that when I was bending her, I checked on her several hours after the bend and that is what I saw.

Dont worry though, a little rubbing and she never stopped. This is her topless. :yummy:

I figured I should update this for th good of others! Always trying to help where I can! I don't wanna be selfish! : ) She looks great guys. The stalk got REALLY thick where it broke and it totally repaired itself and ever promoted some new growth. It didn't take but abou a week to be ompletely healed and bulkier!

Ponics.

If you look kinda hard you can see the bulkier portion on the main stalk!
