I appreciate all the kudos. It has been really fun putting this down on the computer. I have told this story at least 50 times (it is not the type of thing you share with everyone you meet) but this is the first time actually writing it down.
more next week. I am driving way north tonight. heading into what looks like some heavy snow in the pursuit of some new live DNA for the old grow. actually doing a trade with a buddy. anything for the plant.

my friend rolled because he was facing felony possesion with intent to distribute of LSD. I am not making any comment regarding write or wrong, just telling the story. Just so you know where I am coming from, I thought it was the wrong decision then and still do. He knows it was, and still lives with it. As to the trust factor, he is still one of my best friends. I trust him with my life. I regularly give him nugs of my Mothers finest and lifesaver. He knows about my show. I have zero concerns. The only thing that annoys me is your attitude. Your statement regarding getting served around there is ludicrous I don't need to get served by anyone. You have no concept of the type of show I run, and quite frankly, I could give rats ass about your thoughts with that type of attitude.

im not saying you need to, im saying that if someone was to tell a story like that in my locale...theyd have a hard time doing any kind of illegal business again my mistake was use of the word you, and it was an example..not taking inton account wether "they" had a grow or not.

Regarding what Harry said, it's the English mentality coming out there, especially working class English mentality, and Harry's also associating the old school "stand up guys", as they are known in the US, from back in the day on OG with this similar type of mentality.

First of all, he's right that a grass is the scum of the Earth and where I'm from doing what your friend did to save himself, I would expect to get shot, maybe not dead, but at least my knee caps blown off with a shotgun.
Secondly, if a person is identified as a grass in working class Britain, it's true that they and their family will be ostricised from the local community, and more than likely have "GRASS" daubed in graffiti on the side of their house, etc.
My thinking is that if you can't do the time then you shouldn't do the crime, and if you get caught, you have to 'man up' and accept responsibility for your actions and do the time if necessary.
Like George Bush says "we don't negotiate with terrorists", and real men don't negotiate with the police, they do their time and accept what happened like a man.
Your friend is a pussy and a coward, and he deserves to have something bad happen to him for what he did.
I say this calmly and I am not angry or have a bad attitude - it's the way it is....some things you just don't do, and that's one of them.
