just a few questions about amsterdam(am going next week)

i have never been to amsterdam before so i have a few questions...

what would you people recomend as your favourite coffey shops?

im from england and am getting the ferry over, my friend who im going with has already been once and said last time he got the ferry back he had a 8th in his pocket and they didnt bother to search anyone unless they looked suspicious so he got away with it...i want to try and bring about an 8th of various strains back in the same baggie and about an 8th of hash. not a huge amount, just enough to share with friends back home. do you think it is worth the risk? will they most probably just confiscate it if i get caught?

and do you think i should just keep it in my pocket or should i try a good way of hiding it?

A mate of mine actually says that getting caught bringing over an ounce will only get you a fine. An eigth is nothing :wink:

I also know that some mates send some home via post, also a good idea

i actually saw a travel show where a couple of brits got caught coming back home with various baggies of pot and hash...

the customs official said that anything under 10 grams was just a fine... over 10gs is arrestable...

be careful... it's never really worth it IMO... pot is replaceable, but trouble with the law can hang over your head for a long time...

first thing i would do is find out the limit before its arrest-able. then make sure you have less then that with you.

second thing is to pack that stuff very well. at least 3 layers. better yet finish the package with some duct tape. believe me half way good weed will smell through two layers of plastic no problem if it warms up in your undies. you don't want a cloud of cannabis to follow you around.

enjoy your visit, and think carefully about it. better start your own little grow, then try and get weed out of the dam.

remember inform yourself about the amount you can have on you before it becomes more then a fine. this info must be around. a lawyer could tell you.

i suppose since they declassified cannabis to a lower category, it shouldn't be a big deal even if they would find it.

why bother bringing weed when they have all that lovely hash which is so much easier to pack?

like gaius says weed will stink through plastic baggies no problem ,use at least 15 bags packed inside each other per half oz and spray inbeetween every 5 bags with some aftershave or perfume ,,then stick it in ya baggage not ya pocket ..if u get stopped u can deny any knowledge that way ,,,

its a lot easier to grow some though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

toothpaste or deep heat, thats my preferred method.
wrap the bud/hash as described then unpinch the end of your deep heat tube ( usually metal tubes pinched and rolled) un roll and remove most of the contents. push your stash into the tube repinch and re roll. hopefully the metal of the tubes stops the xrays( not 100% on that just guessing!)
and any dog that can sniff a bit of bud through all that plastic and the overpowering stench of the deep heat then you gotto hand it to them!!!!!!!!!
this method has worked for me many many times flying all over the world, even managed australian customs and they searched me and my stuff!

but you shouldn't really try it at all, is it worth being banned from the only country in europe that actually likes us and our lifestyles.

no body gets banned from Holland for trying to take hash home with them man, lol. in the states they might get travel restrictions during parole for said offense, i.e. smuggling into the us, but thats not what we are talking about. he wants to bring a bit of smoke back to the uk from amsterdam. the dutch will just take it off him, but the english will fine him if they find it. but i agree find a way to grow your own. find a spot in the country side and grow some gorilla style plants. if you can't do a small indoor setup that is. or send it maybe?

That's our thought aswell. We're pretty much the only ones out of our group of friends that DON'T take anything on planes with us. It's not the getting caught with it that botheres me, more the giving them a reason for a warrant to search our place and find the bondage girls in the basement

Gotta little story that relates to transportation:

Me and a mate about 6 years ago now were flying back from Amsterdam to Krakow, poland...........Took about 1 and half to 2 ounces of some chronic and probably a couple grams of shish......

So we have a connection in Germany.....fuckin germans........and there are two officers waiting at the top of the escelator lookin for suspicious mofos........that's me by the way .......My mate walks right by em and starts lookin at the board for the connection......

Me, I look up and all I see is two shit eating grins saying come with us please.....My boy was man enough to look my way and ask what;s the problem...he came too.......haha sucka

So we get to the office and they're askin us this and that: and we say we don't have anything search our carry on bags and of course nothing was there......After an hour of our time they finally let us go but as we are departing I like the fool I am sometimes, smugly tell the officers to have a fantastic day......bad move

Playin cards just itchin to get on the plane so we can get the fuck out of Germany and my boys like watch we're going down........bad vibes.....5 minutes later: we both look up and hear come with us your under arrest for smuggling illegal substances etc.......

So the best part ot this story is coming up: So we get down to the offices and there's our gear in all its glory sitting on the table....F.....they probably smoked it too dicks.......So these guys really have it out for us cause we were kinda of smart asses with em.......So my boy goes into the room first while i'm wating out in the holdin area........

10 minutes later he comes out and his face is ashen white, collar all disheveled and basically he has the look of a man that has just been violated and humilated.........I just smile and say here we go.....

Get on in there and assume the position....luckly no probing was going on so could of been much worse.......still a funny experience nonetheless....

Was a 300$ fine per person and then back on the plane.........funny thing was though the flight we were on my guys uncle was on too, this was the man that was providin us with a place to stay in Krakow....a bank dood......rich kid style......Asked us how we enjoyed holland.......We said we had a blast, but didn't enjoy Germany so much..........Was a hilarious trip through and through.....

2 things i learned..........I don't like germany and Take the fuckin train!!!

any one else ever been stopped and busted at airports or stations?

one of my mates went back packing round europe for a month, started in amsterdam picked up a few baggies to see him through his trip and off he went, managed to get through a few countrys and was then stopped at rome train station by a couple of dudes in army fatigues with a big ass dog! they busted his ass pretty bad he onlhy had a eigth bag on him but it was nasty, fined a few hundred euro's spent a night in a rough city jail and eventualy put on the first train out of rome.
and i thought the italians were a farily laid back bunch of people!!

me and my wife were there in june, i remember damn near crying the day we left hurrying through are stash. we had a stopover in iceland, then flew into minneapolis...i look like a stoner so i was expecting the full body cavity treatment, we were waved through customs without a second glance...passport stamped and on you go...we could of had a kilo...on my next trip will i try to bring some home?...fuck no...thats why im a gardener...however if i lived in the uk yea id risk it

Yea taking the train is much safer in that aspekt. They do check those too at the border crossings, but very infrequently.

hi everyone, thanx for all the replys, got back from amsterdam a weeks ago and i've got to say that its the best place i have ever been on holiday.

they have so many strains its incredible, i was amazed. i managed to smoke 1 oz in 2 days of about 10 different strains, just to name a few...

white widow, sour dielsel, bubblegum, super skunk, ak47, afghan hash, ice hash.

and i took 7 grams of white widow on the ferry and 1 8th of ice hash. we got on the ferry fine, then when we got off they checked the passport and everything was ok, then as we were walking down towards customs i saw a sign saying' your sniffer dog today is ralf' and it has a pic of the dog so i was waiting untill i heard barking before i stashed it in a bin but luckily for some reason there was no1 there to check anyone. so we just walked straight onto the strain with about 1 ounce including my mates stash.
