Jury Duty....God help us all!

Just finished up a rousing round of Jury Duty. Holy Shit is our system @#$*%#ed up! Was excited to be part of the process, but after sitting for 4-6 hours per day, hearing monotone attorneys and judges spew facts and figures.
Was an open and shut case, "NOT GUILTY"......no proof from prosecutors.
But low and behold, upon entering jury box to deliberate, judge passes along paper with laws on paper....thats when things get cloudy....according to judge, go by what you heard in court....evidence. But according to actual written law base your judgement on these facts.
Was a cluster*%@@, very disheartning.
Don't get me wrong, try to be a Honest American, live by example ect....and love my country. Am glad to have jury of peers to persecute(I mean prosecute) me, but having such confusing standards made me wonder how well "Justice is Served."
Stay under the radar friends......as has become crystal clear to me....Justice comes in different flavors....

High End=You don't even need to show up in court...your high price attorney has taken care of it all....if not right verdict...postpone....throw some paperwork at the judge....2-3 years down the road....crime has lost luster...You have landed on "Free Parking."

I luckily have never been called upon for jury duty. And hope i never do.

I have gotten out of jury selection every time I have been called. I lied about it....but I got out. Ill be damned if I sit there all day for $5 when I have a family to feed. Its economics.

i got called once...spent most the day waiting for an interview...I said I was prejudice against all races....they sent me packin.

I will have to agree with this one totally. When I had my little problem. I had the best lawyer in the business for my state. My total court hearings where around 8-10. I only had to be there in person for the plea and the sentencing hearing. For what I was busted with. I should have did some time. I did not to one day in jail. Now, my total bill was right around 30K and a nice SUV. I'll take the large lawyer bill over the jail time any day of the week.

My point, money talks and it's the truth. Sad, but that's how the system is. You got money, then you can get out of allot of trouble.

that trial really opened up the words eyes to American justice

I agree with James Chong. You're going to be bent over either way. Better to be bent over by a lawyer than by Bubba, the lifer. I can walk away after the lawyer is done with me. Bubba will either come back for seconds or pass me along to his friends.

A buddy of mine had to do a few days in Ventura County Jail. He was all nervous, like the VCJ system is Leavenworth or something. Anyway, he said if anyone tries rape his mouth, he's gonna bite their dick off, spit it out and ask 'who's next'.
