Juicy Fruit and Sweet Dreams, clone to finish....unless I kill them first

My friend is growing some juicy fruit and a sweet dreams plant a few hours south of me so last week I went down and grabbed a few clones. I have 3 juicy fruit, 2 sweet dreams, 1 bagseed, and a seed that I just started. Clones were cut the last wednesday in september and a few have taken root. 1 juicy fruit has roots coming out the side of the rockwool cube, and the rest have a few smal roots starting to form at the end. Everthing was planted into 18 oz solo cups this moring with a potting soil/mg organic mix. I know that people say mg organic will kill my plants in a few days, but it is about a 75/25 ratio with the majority potting soil. Lights are 2 20 watt daylight cfl (75 watt replacement), 2 26 watt daylight cfl (100 watt replacement), and 1 sunlight 26 watt cfl (100 watt replacement). The grow cab is under my bathroom sink, which is roughly 2x2x1.5. There is 1 small fan in there for ventilation, but heat really isnt an issue.

I have grown before and am currently helping a frind grow, but can not go full out until the middle of november. I have a 400 watt hps, but due to not being able to hide it and people coming over much too often it is being used by a friend. My goal of this grow is to get a good juicy and sweet dreams mother so that when I am able to use my hps I wont have to wait for clones or seeds to germ. If I am better at cloning than I think I am and get 5-6 plants live, then 2 will be mothers and the rest will go on 12/12 the day the hps is back.

This is where the clones came from, these are 15 days into flower now, and about 10 in this picture

My apologies for the shitty razor cell phone picks. The crack across the lens also doesnt help the quality.

Clone Yellowing

Clone Yellowing

All of the clones are starting to yellow at the leaf tips and bottom leaves. This is my first time cloning and I am not sure what to do about it. I think it is just a lack of nutrients because the mother plants were getting a pretty strong dose of ferts and these clones havent got any real nutes oterh that water. I think once the roots fully settle in, the yellowing will deal with itself. Anyone who can help is greatly appreciated.

No real changes today, leaves are still a bit yellow, but are showing signs of new growth. The seedling looks good, no real chages also.

You only need to give the clones plain water until they've probably been rooted for a week or so. Since it's not really a full plant sturcture it doesn't even need nutes. If there is new growth and they aren't wilting you should be gravy.

Anyone else is welcome to correct or add.

Clone yellowing and some purple

Clone yellowing and some purple

Stil no major changes, however the clones have continued to yellow and the sinlge juicy frut clone is starting to show purple around the leaf tips and some new growth. Does anyone know what purple leaf tips mean? I have never seen this before in my limited time growing and am very confused. The first dose of real nutes should be next thursday, when the get here, but will that be too long?

Could I be wrong and the MG organic soil is over ferting them?

After doing a bit of looking around icmag, I came up with what I thought was the best reason for the purpling on leaves. The nutes that the mother plants are being given are the BC series. The NPK ration is {BC Grow(1.2-3.2-6.5)}, which is a higher percent of P than almost every other veg nute listed. P deficiency also most resembled what my plants look like except the edges are a much more purple looking. I will have those nutes a week from today, but does anything think that that will be too long. If it is will a light does of MG ferts do the trick?

Still chuggin alone

Still chuggin alone

Its been a while since the last post, but I finally got some real ferts (BC Grow, Bloom, Boost, and some or their organic crap. Out of the clones I started with 2 sweet dreams, 1 juicy fruit, and 1 of the bag seed survived. That is a over a 50% live rate for my first time trying, which is not to bad for what I was working with. The bagseed that i started looks good, and I think it is sativa dom, but I could be wrong. I managed to keep the sweet dreams genetics gonig as i have no more seeds, but am not sure what I am going to do with them because they stretch like a motherf***er and I dont want 6 foot tall bastards. The 77 day flowering time is also a bit long. Here is a pic of where the sweet dreams and juicy fruit were cut from. The SwD is back left with the 2 tops. It is 53 inches or something like that in the picture, and has grown about 5 inches in the week since it was taken. These plants are about 25 days into flowering. Updated pics of the clones later tonight or tomorrow.

Update with pics

Update with pics

No changes since the last time I posted yesterday, so here are some pics. The juicy fruit has some minor leaf curling, any ideas why.

Heres a shot of all five plants. Top row is Sweet Dreams left and Bagseed right. Bottom row is different bagseed clone, SD, and juicy fruit.

Side by side of the Juicy and Sweet Dreams. I think these and the seedling will be the only ones I keep.

The bagseed and smaller sweet dreams are being sacraficed to new homes so I can make room for my new seeds, which were sent out today. Those are Double Strawberry Diesel by Res. I will prob run 3-4 now and hope for 2 good females. Hopefully one of those is an indica pheno sour d or str d. The DSD seeds are nice because they are and F2 of Ken Kushman's Strawberry Cough x Res Sour Diesel ibl (could be wrong on genetics, correct me if I am please) so there is a chance to get pure cough, diesel, or the strawberry mix.

Not much life on the thread, but thats expected with nothing but 3 inch midgets. On friday, a friend who knew I dicked around with growing found a seed in some kush and brought it over for me. I threw it in some soil and over night it sprouted and came out of the ground.

The other update that I have is that the other bag seed is starting to turn a bit purple at the 3rd node. It starts in the middle, and shoots out towards the tips. It is a very light/ lavender purple. I dont think it is any kind of nute deficiency, but who knows.
If i can get a decent camera ill post everything tonight.

I also gave away a Sweet Dreams plant to a friend who is going to try run a single bucket, with a couple cfl's. I wasnt going to have any room for it, and this is better than just throwing it outside and letting her flower (which will probably happen to the other one)

Seeds came today. I ordered a week ago last firday and they came today, amazing work seedboutique. The freebie was South Afruican Durban x Skunk by Sam the Skunkman. I put 4 of the Double Strawberry Diesel in a cup to germ and will put them in a paper towel when i wake upo tomorrow.

I also gave away one of the clones I had. I can only grow a limited number of plants in the space I have now and since it was only from a bagseed parting with her wasnt too hard.

The remaining 4 plants that I have are 1 Juicy Fruit, 1 Sweet Dreams, 1 seed from a bag of Kush, and 1 seed from a bag of good shit that I had. Today the were transplanted into 1/2 gallon pots of a 70/30 mix of Pro-Mix and perlite. The 4 DSD seeds that are germing will also be going into 1/2 gallon pots with that soil mix.

Here is a pic of the mothers of the Juicy and Sweet Dreams at Day 36 flowering. Juicy are 4 on right and Sweet Dreams is second row far left.

All four DSD seeds germed, and 3/4 are out of the ground. The last one was planted a day later so im expecting it tomorrow. The juicy fruit is also starting to stretch a decent amount and the nodes are getting about a 1/2 to an inch apart. She and the sweet dreams were tied down this morning. I also gave the plants their first dose of ferts since sunday, about a 400 ppm mix of BC.

Im going out of town this afternoon until sunday night, so hopefully there is a noticable growth difference.

Updated pics when I get back.

Update 11/06

Update 11/06

All 4 DSD's came out of the ground, but 1 was a twin. I killed the smaller of the 2, and the other is doing fine. The plants were moved from under my bathrrom sink and into the closet, where I added 4 more CFL's (26=100 x 3 and 1 42=150w) The juicy fruit and sweet dreams were tied down and have taken off since then. The Sweet Dreams is going outside Friday or Saturday to flower. Hopefully some purple comes out.

The important update is on the kush bagseed I was given. It has the biggest leaves ive ever seen on a seedling, feels almost like velvet, and has a stem that rivals the juicy fruit, which was a clone and 3 weeks older. Pics this afternoon or tonight.
