JOG or simulated SOG

Ok, I have heard this idea is called a jungle of green. Its basically using 1 plant to simulate a very dense sog.
I have intended to use 4 colas per sq. ft.
Mocking the setup of #1 pots side by side
What is the most cloas you can pack into the sme 12 x 12 area,before seeing diminished returns?
I know if they are too many, I will overcrowd the buds, and limit growth.
Has anyone grown like this, any ideas anyone?
I will experiment on this

I believe what you mean by jog is Scrog.

No, the scrog lays the branches out horizontal, I imtend to grow vertical plants with multiple colas.
And the use of a screen is not a faeuture of the technique. Or the similar method of my own.

I considered the vert scrog. It wouldn't be a viable option in the space I have.
Forget the jog, this was just something i stumbled across.
Right now, we top our plants and stake 4 main shoots, in a 6'' square. This allows 4 colas with a 6 x6 '' area to grow. How many of these could go in the same square foot, without crowding?

So, I guess it is basically a scrog.
I thought that the scrog kept the plant under the screen, and only allowed the buds to grow upwards.
Anyway, I will be staking the branches, not using a screen.
The question still remains, how many can I fit?

What you said about a scrog is partially true, but you need to understand that it's more than just a net. The big thing with doing a scrog is the fact that you force the plant to create new main shoots. Plants always want to have a top, or main cola. To produce more of these, you tie or bend the main down to a lower level than other parts of the plant. When you do this, plant hormones called Auxins are released which cause other shoots to stretch up and try to become main stems as well. If you do this enough you can get tons of main cola's per plant. For instance I have a scrog running right now with 2 plants in 5 gal buckets. The scrog is slightly smaller than 2'x4', and I would estimate I have 20-30 main colas. This gives an increased yield overall because it's putting the parts of the plant that produce the most in a mostly even layer where they can all get a good amount of light. The only reason you end up using the screen it to try and keep everything at an even height. Hope this helps!

That does help. I guess I had the idea behind the scrog a little confused.
That is basically the same way I am going.
We top the plants to get 4 colas, and defoliate/prune to get them to reach 12" all at once, this is all during veg, of course. There was no sort of support system used before, and this turned out bad.
Right now my room is filled up with 2 bushes in #5 pots. They take up most of the useable area. I can't wait to see the yield on them, The one looks like it has 1/4 already, at week 3.
Next time, the 4 colas will get staked, to keep them evenly spaced, and within their allotted space.
It seems the screen may be a bit easier, but will be (much) more costly than stakes, and I would need to build individual screens, as a perpetual harvest is the strategy.
This will give me the same # of colas as well 4 x 6 or 7 plants.

BTW... do you have any input on pruning excess branches after the flowering stretch?
