Happy Birthday, Joe Walsh!

Saw him in Telluride this Sept. @ Blues & Brews! Still one of my faves from several bands- James Gang, Barnstorm, the Eagles and his solo career! Long may your music play. "Life's Been Good!"

The Smoker You Drink the Player You Get is one of the greatest albums of all time. Obviously, "Rocky Mountain Way" is a great song, but so is "Meadows" and "Dreams", the whole album is very much like Dark Side. Lots of spaces between the notes. I love that when music is not all cluttered with sound. The drummer was great. He also played keyboards and flute. Very talented. I saw him a couple times with James Gang. I think the show Guitar Sessions did a night with him and a bunch of guests and it was very good. Joe Walsh is very much more than a gunslinger with the Eagles. Much more. Thanks

Very cool, ronbo!! Yeah, I've seen him a few times over the decades. Your description sure brought back memories.

And knowing how many RIP's we've had lately, it's nice to celebrate a performer extraordinaire that shaped our lives with his and various bands' music!

Saw him recently on Ernie Ball or Guitar Center show on cable. He seems to be born again Christian from what I heard. Rick Derringer is the same.

And your point is? Lots of celebrities and commoners seek a "higher power" after a life of out of control alcohol/drug use/abuse.

He doesn't praise his beliefs incessantly on concert tour.

My point was that he is different than before and I noticed. Not knocking him or others doing similar. :tiphat:
