I would tell you but then i would have to kill you.

But Seriously, check you local news stand and ask for the civil sevice paper,
and just start taking any test that comes out.

once your in a cival service job It is easer to transfer within that system till you find what you like.

If I am am right you are a tech that works with animals?
Check all the local zoo's and aquariums.
If thats what you are in to.

Hope this helps.

First, finish your high school education if you have not done so. Then, take some part time classes at a technical college or 2 year college. Some sort of skills will benefit you the rest of your life.

I grow pot for a job. Best job ever. I got 12 years indoor and over 3O outdoors under my belt.

I help more people than any Doctor.

most sales jobs require little more than some proof of competency. Start small selling something even if it sucks, prove you can sell the sucky product, and you can market yourself for better jobs.
i'll agree with the above posts though. Crab fishing-rough, hard work but brings in the cash.
the right construction job can pay well and if you're smart and do a good job there are opportunities to move up.
if you're a big guy and you're in the right place at the right time around the right people then you can score a decent job as a bodyguard.
Club promoters in LA do quite well from what my friend who was in it for a while told me.

You could try for a full VET qual and move up the chain with that. Don't know about there but here VETS get paid much much more than doctors and pharmacists, plus they get lots of sex because animal lovers think they is the best....

ok I made up the part about the sex... but the rest is good...only wish I could tell you where here was.

here the average Vet bill is $400, the average doctor bill (ex drugs) is $50 and the dentist is $100. Also there is not enough peeps to do all the jobs..... we are at a time where they are putting signs out front of businesses advertising jobs vacant. I haven't seen that for 20 years...

You could always teach english overseas... Japan and korea do summer school english.. 4 - 6 weeks.... free accom and food plsu some fun in a new country.. they look after you while you are there.

im in marketing/advertising. you could always go into sales or sales support. sales is always wide open. sales is in everything. you could seek work for a pet related company - pet food or something. you already have the background (or general experience with companion animals) for it so it wouldn't be a far stretch.

at the same time you say you do want to work with your hands. i'd say while you have this downtime, try designing something for pets. maybe beautifully designed or custom designed dog houses! i don't know how the market is for that but if there's anything i know well, it's how to check the pulse of a market. the point is, you've got to marry what you know with what you want.

or as tngreen sort of suggested, get an education. in your case, i'd say get further education or different education.

if you like the idea above, combine it all - take some architecture courses. not the college type courses. but they do have courses that you can take outside of a particular college program. maybe a workshop class because i find that fundamentals are absolutely necessary. or just buy a book to get some ideas.
