Growing for the commercial market can provide a lucrative income for a while and should you prove unsuccessful, you may be able to learn new skills in prison that will assist you when you get out.

hustle how you can. sometimes you may not get the job that you want or need and in the time you may want or need it. so you gotta figure out a way to eat. sometimes that involves doing illegal things. the attitude you express right now is exactly the same attitude in "urban" areas that causes mostly black and hispanic kids and adults to get into illegal activities. they aren't getting the jobs and even when they do, those jobs aren't paying.

i've met quite a few people coming from the iraq war who ended up selling drugs on the street because they couldn't find a job - especially in the bush era; we are all suffering out here. so i say hustle how you can. but, i speak from a point of desperation. it all depends how desperate you are.

i went through it personally but i had a degree in marketing and graphic design so i just used my skills, downloaded hacked design programs because i couldn't afford em obviously, and made a business out of print and web design. but i graduated right after the WTC got hit. i was competing for entry level jobs with guys who had 10, 15, and 20 or more years experience. i got NOTHING. do or die!

i had my skills so i worked what i had. you've got your skills, you'll have to work what you have. hustle how you can.

how is he deceiving anyone? it's not like he's pouring purple die on the buds. he's literally growing purple buds, and selling them to people as purple buds which is completely honest cuz that's exactly what they are! just cuz some strains turn purple more easily or in higher temps doesn't make them any more "real" or of higher quality

But you gotta figure out how to support yourself for the ~3 months it takes just to *hopefully* harvest something people will actually want to pay for and smoke. You CAN live on a successful grow (dont let the commercial haters fool you) but its very risky and you must capitalize as quickly as possible and get out as quickly as possible.

Trust me dude, in the end slinging dope just ain't worth it. fast cash yes but eventually you WILL slip up and you'll pay for it........sounds to me you already started on the wrong foot and i've never met a LIFELONG dealer who didn't wind up dead or in jail.......get a real job.

You may think that my post was harsh, but it is based on realism, not the hatred of commercial growers as has been suggested. As others have told you here, most commercial growers don't last a long time and you need skills or an education to fall back on. A really intelligent small-time commercial grower can exist for years under the cops radar if he sells to trusted middle men who don't know who he is or where he lives or grows.

I am a med grower who supports himself in old age by being a caregiver for quite a few people. I don't sell to kids and I don't sell to anyone who does not have a Prop 215 medical rec. I am reasonably intelligent, have 2 college degrees and take the tightest security precautions that I can. My patients don't know where I live or where I grow. The cops would consider me to be a small-time commercial grower, even though I am Prop 215 myself and only deal with 215 patients.

If I continue to do this with the current crusade in Cali against medical marijuana, I will probably get caught eventually. I am prepared for that. Are you in a medical state? Are you prepared to go to jail for your actions? Are you prepared to lose your Constitutional rights in order to grow some pot because you are too lazy to get a regular job?

If you are,my friend, then I wish you good luck. I support all marijuana growers and hope that it is legal someday. I also hope that you are smarter than you sound and can get away with it without doing serious time in the slammer.

keep your day job bro...
First he needs to get a day job...

But anyways, it should NOT be your only source of income. Growing is not just your solution to a lousy job market. What you should do is work -and- grow because either way you have something to fall back on.

And definitely don't tell anyone what you have going on or where it is going on. Whenever someone is getting bud from you, tell them you got it from someone else. Being humble and safe is a lot better.
