the recordings of the Band of Gyspys are pretty good too. the sound quality is way better but seeing the man rock is definitly cool.

He was awake for 3 straight days...Not acid..He looked stoned,but it could be that it was 3 days awake and playing at 3 AM in the morning.Jimi doing acid is really A Myth..If he was..he wouldnt be making those kinds of sounds,music,notes.At Woodstock it was a bottle of wine between those 3 guys... Awesome music!!!

If you can..Get the DVD,,,At the start he asks people to stand up for your country if you don't F*** Y** ...LOL

Hell yeah, Isle of Wight! There are some great Isle of Wight performances out there. In 1970, there were 600,000+ people watching the Isle of Wight Festival. Some of the acts included Jimi, Jethro Tull, The Doors, The Moody Blues, Ten Years After, Emerson Lake and Palmer, The Who, Supertramp. I highly recommend watching Jethro Tull and Emerson Lake and Palmer. Ten Years After is great too.

Hahaha, hell yeah. I love the Jimi at Isle of Wight video. I also have the Jethro Tull and Emerson, Lake and Palmer videos. My friend has Jimi and the Who. In all of the videos, at some point when they look out at the crowd, you can see the same guy. He has wild hair, glasses and is wearing a brown coat (sometimes shirtless). Just thought it was funny being able to spot the same dude, and in Jethro Tull he is dancing like a crazy person.
In Dharma for One by Jethro Tull, Clive Bunker does one of my favorite drum solos. Love that video.

Machine gun is great music and its how music should be played with 2 other talent musicians..never seen a drummer so in tune.

Nice, thanks for the link. Thats a great performance, but were are talking Gyspys here. Love that song, I could listen to that album all day.

Also Jimi doing LSD def. is not a myth, but many people make it seems like he dropped every time he went on stage which def. isn't true. Also what one person can do in an altered state is not necessarily true for others.

I remember reading a story about Owsley at the Monterrey Pop festival. He made a bunch of Monterrey Purple (acid) and distributed it out to the crowd. He himself took two hits, and Jimi took 3. Owsley proceeded to basically freak out, and he said "After all these years it blows me away that Jimi was able to do what he did so well on 3 hits."

I know I sure liked playing guitar tripping. Definitely need to spend more time making music next time.

Just download some tweaked Winamp music thats system wide for better sound with 32 bit sound card everything needed to tweak it better for all-around sound with 5 speakers and bass. This is a tricked out machine man

2 stock computers speakers are sooooo old,outdated and folks are missing the best sound.

I use Enhancer 017 plug0ins from Winamp

I just open Winamp and play anything with Winamp songs off while playing anything else..Works great!
