This thread is all about J Dilla. To me, this man was the most revolutionary and brilliant producer in rap history. His infusion of obscure and beautiful soul, funk, jazz, and rock samples with classic beat breaks and unique drums made him a great producer. However, it was the intricate nature in which he wove the usually simple samples, creating complex masterpieces that made him so brilliant.
Jay died in 2006 of complications from lupus. The rap, rnb, and soul scene just isn't the same without him. This thread is meant for us all to post our favorite J Dilla tracks (they're all on youtube), and to share our appreciation for his music!
