Hello there IC mag, been lurking here for a long while, figured now that I have the free time I'd start documenting my grows. Any input/advice/criticism is more than welcome!

Setup -

  • 28 plants total, "Jane Doe" OG, and King Kush
  • 4kw
  • 2x 6x3 trays w/ 2 lights over each
  • Fox Farms OF Soil, straight up.
  • Starting in 1 gal, moving up to 5gal to finish.
  • Topped, and soon to be supercropped/trellised

Nutes -

  • Fox farms Grow big
  • Botanicare Cal-Mag
  • Superthrive
  • Hygrozyme
  • Fox farms big bloom
  • fox farms tiger bloom
  • Molasses
  • Clearex
  • Using RO water only

Giving both strains 70 days minimum flowering, going to flip them in about ten days.

Thanks for looking!

Why thank you sir! Yes, I should have clarified, those are all of the nutes I use throughout the whole grow cycle - Veg is just Grow Big, Cal-mag, and superthrive, and I should also add that I use the FF solubles for flowering as well. Sorry for that mix-up.

Very nice.
FF OF, East coast or West coast?

Expected yield?

Thanks! FFoF has treated me pretty well so far  I'm on the west coast - I'm shooting for at least a pound per light - I don't like to raise my hopes too high - possibly more because of the 6 or 7 Kushes in there (forgot how many exactly), considering this particular strain of OG is a pretty low yielder but has incredible potency/pungency.

How big is that room? How many btu's is the portable? Looks like cement floor. Basement, garage?
I'm loving the looks of the room.

Right now I'm running one 3x6 and thinking of adding another.

Rockin it third! Super clean setup, and I like how you ran the irrigation w/ the pvc. Totally skipped my mind - I'm just using the softer 1/2" poly. Oh yeah, and from the looks of the picture it seems you are using Dual spectrums? Or maybe the left light is just off still? Left side looks blue/ right side looks red, could just be my eyes though.

The room is about 9x11' with about 8 foot ceilings, the AC is 12,000 BTU if im not mistaken (got it years ago). The room is actually just a separate room we built just for this purpose, you're correct about the concrete flooring. Thanks for the kind words!:ying:

Yep I had a halide in the far light in that pic. I got two hps in there now. I run the mh for the first couple weeks of flower and rotate the plants around. Hand watering at this point.

After a couple weeks I swap it out for the hps and hook up my drip setup.

I'm kinda surprised the portable can keep up with 4K. That's why I was wondering if your in a basement.

Once again, inspiring.

Right on, my previous experiences playing around with spectrum have come out pretty successful, I used Halides the whole grow last time - actually yielded well and came out very well developed.

It takes about every BTU off that AC to keep that room cooled, nonetheless it works perfectly throughout the (very) hot So-Cal summers. I use one 8 inch ecoplus vortex fan for each row of lights which helps a lot as well.

:thank you: I think it works pretty well considering I have all my ballasts in that small space as well.

Just transplanted into 5g FFoF, going to flip in one week.

Some pics, still adjusting, but trekking right along! Gunna hit them with some B1 and RO water later tonight. :ying:

My smallest successes were with foxfarm nutes. I wasn't very impressed IMHO. I had better organic success with peruvian seabird guano, mexican bat guano and AN Nirvana. I like your other products you mentioned. I would only add maxicrop for that K. It gives lots of color and taste to the product. GL

BTW, my opinion of the foxfarm soils are that they are splendid. My preference is for mixing one bag of ocean forest for each bag of light warrior. The ocean forest by itself needs more perlite IMO.

I particularly like Big Bloom, and Beastie Bloomz, these seem to make the biggest impact on yield and overall resin production for my crops. However, I've heard that the whole 3-part soluble line can basically be substituted with Grotek's "MonsterBloom".

Using the full FF line for about 2 years now, I'm ready to switch out the Tiger Bloom and Grow Big, I have my eyes set on the Earth juice line for a slightly more organic (and cheaper) approach.

In which case, I feel that a product like EJ's "Meta-K" will come in handy as a nice little booster.

Sorry for the huge gap, but I had to wait on a new camera, the nugs have been curing for about a solid month now and taste / smoke wonderfully.

Already 2 weeks into flowering the new crop: Tahoe OG and Chem-D, will post pics asap in a new thread!

Here's a picture I snapped of some cured Jane Doe OG; more to come of the King's Kush... Thanks for tagging along all!
