Jamaican Hybrid

I have found a few photos of a Jamaican hybrid I made a few years ago.
I am now revisiting the original Jamaican strain (18-24 week electric, thought provoking, Spiritual, clear, euphoric. Woody, cooked lamb and bread, tropical fruits. Tall, languid, pure sativa.) with a view too refreshing my stock of seeds and making a few hybrids while I am at it. I thought I may as well post these photos.
I still have a hundred seeds from the original hybrid - I may make some selections for an f2 generation when I get time.

The original hybrid was lovely, btw. Jamaican dominant.

Enjoy the photos.

so it is jamaican crossed with? looks good.

Easy Fella!

My last response was shit. Sorry. Much on my mind.

This one is a Mexican Kush mother and pure Jamaican father. I also made a Pineapple Skunk x Jamaican cross.
The Jamaican strain is called Longtime Weed on the island. It is as pure as pure. 18 - 22weeks flowering.

I think you'd love it.

Right now I am also working on a Melon cross and an incense flavour too. As well as reproducing the Jamaican pure with as many phenotype mothers as possible and the best fathers I can find.
I have 'a few' Sour Melon females from Karma to select from for a new hybrid at the moment.
The Jamaican is just so dominant in the crosses I have made so far. You really do get 'versions' of the Jamaican with the F1s. For me, it is best pure but 20 weeks is just too out of reach for most growers, which is why I thought it might be nice to make lots of cheeky flavours... The Pineapple Skunk really did reduce the flowering times down by strengthening the flowering response dramatically. I love using the Jamaican males for this.

Generally I have found that the pure Jamaican splits into 2 general phenotypic groups - slender and very tropical. Floppy almost and very tall. Extreme pains in the arse to grow.... but mind blowing effects. The best I've ever know. Electric, euphoric, spiritual, thinky, joyful at one with your surroundings...Irie.
The other is just as vigorous but it likes branches so it has a much shorter and branchier shape - still those long internodal spaces and long branches but not all upwards, if you will.... still blissful, clear, energetic but more functional - less spiritual...

Flavours are woody but I have also detected grilled lamb kebab and tropical fruit from the very best herb. The better the flavour, the better the effect. I have heard that this herb takes on a distinct pineapple taste if it is given space, organic soil and strong strong light all day. I don't grow in Jamaica, unfortunately. Damn. I'd love to try growing it there.

The woody flavours and the long flowering period combined to the fact that it takes on the stronger flowering response to reduced photoperiod of it's hybrid partners, combined to an utterly dominant effect make this plant ideal for making these fun f1s.

Using pure breeding landrace parents is better - or at least for one parent, anyway! I am finding that the more you introduce into the mix, the muddier the effect becomes - even if it is 'stronger'

There seem to be many crossover effects with the Jamaican and some Ethiopian sativas. I always wondered if they were related - I know the peoples are deeply connected. One day I will make a Jamaican x Ethiopian with many different Ethiopian females from across the country. My friends have about 4 already collected for it!!

sure man. when you say electric.. it grabs my attention :D

I see that spiritual one is less energetic? too much energy is not good for mystic natural experience...

Respect everybody - hey grover sativa do you have any pics of the pineapple skunk x lambsbreads you could share and what the phenotypes are like - I'm doing a blueberry and grandpa Larry x lambsbread crosses right now but I've had to kill quite a few of the lbread females due to germ issues.
