With everyone chasing the latest Cookies, Diesel, Chem, Glue strains these days I'm curious what old school strains still have space in your gardens. I'm not knocking those chasing the latest "greatest" but the breeder in me likes to keep that old school funk around.

My old school that I can think of atm:

Apollo 11 genius (original Bros Grimm)

pre99 DJS Blueberry

Pre 2003 Sensi Star (when fem's were not yet a thing)

Old school Cheese

Strawberry Cough

Bubblegum

I don't have it any more but wish I did- Sagarmartha bubbleberry, an old roomie picked up seeds in Amsterdam around 95'. Two keeper phenos from a pack, one was so frosty and tasty with round puffy buds but hard to clone for me. I had a sack in my pocket at a String Cheese show and was digging around trying to find something, dude in front of us turns around and asks for a hit. We weren't toking anything!! The other pheno was more spear-like buds and would put out some small nanners at the end of flower. I crossed both phenos to C88 which I was so lucky to have some beans gifted to me, but the offspring didn't impress me that much.

Think the old bubbleberry was hermie prone I got some 4-5 years ago and found 2 beans in 1/4, could have been from something else but since you mentioned it had hermied on ya. I still have those, crazy I save every bag seed, dont know why probably wont be growing them ever.

C88 beans would have been a great thing to F2 folks today would go nuts over those. The Princess 75 floats around still, I've known folks who have had her but never was able to acquire one.

Man, looking back at this, these projects have been a long time coming.

Blue Satellite Redux (pre 98 DJS indica blueberry x Blue Satellite 2.2)

I’ve got a few seeded purple females going now, coming out with my Blue Satellite Redux F2’s soon under Gonzo Genetix. There are some old school green blueberry pheno’s to be found in the F2’s but I’m working the Redux to reflect BS 2.2 side. I’ve isolated a couple pre 98 pheno’s ( I might have found a better cut than the original, time will tell). I’ll be working and testing pre 98’s to produce a 2nd line down the road.
