Nice :yummy:

What's the lineage of Jackie O?

I did calizhar which is a Cali O cross and it didn't get the orange smell or flavor until a cure.

jackie-o is aeric77's calio combined with jack candy, jack candy is a selection from jack flash...nice pics cedarberry, way to represent the Nebu-netics ;) never had the pleasure of jackie-o, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my aeric77 calio!!! not to mention ya only have to wait 53 days for her to finish :)

dependent on pheno of course, as there are more than 1 cut of jackie floatin around and nebu released more than just 1 bean into circulation ;) just for what it's worth

hey all thanks for the words. the plant this go around grew well, 5 nice tops, all pistolwhipt up the stem.

i just repaced my bulbs, as you can see the bud is kinda airy, like it was grown under fluros. plant yields well even under worn out lamps. didnt get the penetration like ya would normally.

as for finish time, i was told 70 days when i got it, and have harvested at 70 , 75, and this one now at 80 days. i got the cut for the orange, as been huntin some nice orange smoke. plants real frosty, and big light buds, even when done right. grows big fast.

more citrus orange peel aromas, and smoke. nice enough plant, but this is it for this plant here. just not what im lookin for.

hell i didnt know there was more then one JO around. this one is from Katsu, i know there was a brother over on CW, jackstraw i think, that has been doin alot of work with JO, so yeah there may be cuts of his work around as well.

yup there's more than 1

"katsu's cut is very good, it was the mother of the Jackie-O F2. It was pollinated by a different JO F1 that I grew out from seed given to me by Hort." ---JackStraw

"I have been trying for a very long time and the only original seeds I have been able to get were gifted to me by another member who bought them on c-bay for several hundred dollars back when Nebu was selling."---JackStraw

"I've still got a few of the original pack of JO's I bought from Nebu. He said that they should be pretty stable, but I have found some rather significant variations in the few I've grown." ---Katsu

JackStraw was beginning work on the seedline/f2's @ cw and after it went down he moved over to PG and has a few threads on his f2's and f3's, but i don't think he's been around over there in quite a while and i don't make it a habit of visiting their forums...i've got a few jack flash beans i might try and find a male to hit the calio with and make my own, although there's a few other contenders i think i could use that would make and equally impressive hybrid like this male here from suge's ogbx1's or perhaps sour jack ;)

take care :)

yep, thats the grower, jackstraw.

JO is a nice enough plant. i was lookin for a sweet orange bud. had some real nice orange years ago in and around riverside,ca. there were orange groves everywhere, dont know if that had anything to do with it, but the buds were like orange juice/ orange julius. mouth waterin smoke.

prolly just need to get a snip of calio and be done with it, lol. had heard JO had more umph to the head then the Calio.

thanks for the info, always welcome

yeah calio isn't a daywrecker by any means, great morning smoke or when ya just want somethin tasty with a buzz and not getting demolished :) if you really are after orange and get ahold of the aeric77 cut i'd highly recommend trying to self it...there's a turbo pheno to be found in them thar beans ;)

hey out of all the ae77 hybrids i think orange crush is the best one. ive had ae77, oc, and jo and imho the oc tops what i've seen out of all 3 cuts and i didnt even finish jackie o cause she hermed and i dumped her.

have a good whack of orange crush beans, aquired in the search for a orange smoke. had read though that the OC leaned more towards the blue in it. have to hunt through those then and maybe a good orange plant.

hey whats up Cedarberry the OC cut I had was very much Cali O dom except it gets you real real mellow...also the nuggets are denser, frostier, and have in my opinion a better smell to them than just Cali O but if you smell the Orange Crush cut I used to have it would be straight orange candy in your nose.

I'd crack those beans CBF you'll be way happier than ya are with JO. I think that Jackie O is probably one of the most hyped cuts out there.

CBF...I wouldn't read to much inta what Damimal's Dusty Bowl has ta say...tha OC was/is just a commercial high yielder around these parts...and...I don't recall ever smellin' no "orange candy" out of it...it didn't strike me as being Cali-O dominant either...more like a bland, frosty, high yielder than anything else...granted that's just my take on tha OC cut that's been goin' around here fer tha last 5 er so years.

I'd, personally, take uberPheno's advice...about selfin' tha AE Cali-O...as I've heard tha same thang about some o' them S1's.

Take 'er eazy, IGT
