Jack Herrer and C4 organic scrog [C-13] *TIMELAPSE*

Hey all,

After reading up on all the c-13 threads I decided it was time to junk my old 2x2x3 plywood growbox. It was everything but stealth and hummed like crazy so I headed off to Ikea and picked up their version of the c-13, OMBO.

The main growspace which will be used for flowering (vegging right now) is lit by a 250w MH and vented by a 110cfm bathroom fan. I didnt find my old digicam until yesteday so alas, no pictures of the construction. The top (veg) chamber isnt finished yet but will most likely be lit by a 175w MH. Both lights were 'aquired' a couple of years back so I'll be getting a 250w warm deluxe MH which puts out much more in the red spectrum. I'm gonna get a new reflector when I can afford it as the one I'm using right now was for a 70w hps, maybe some mylar too but I'm broke at the moment.

Now, to the most exciting part of this post. I wrote a program to control my old KodakDC215 and make a timelapse of the grow. As these things are cheap I'm looking at getting a second one on ebay and setting it up w/ a macro lens to watch the trichome progression during flowering. For now though.. just a birds eye view.

The plants are in 10 gallon containers I scored from IKEA and are watered bottum up with Earthjuice nutes (grow and catalyst) and Hygrozyme and are foliar fed once daily when the lights go off for 4 hours. The C4 is on the left and true to Chimera's description yields huge. The Jack Herrer is a perfect scrog plant with flexible stems. It doesnt put on the weight like the C4 but is hella potent.

I'll be adding more pics later and eventually a flashvid/GIF of my girls growin. Oh almost forgot. Day temps are 82F max with 25-30% humidity. Im pretty sure thats too low, what should I do? Night temps are about 67F and humidity of 50%. Peace out.

i went out and got a new reflector today. from the pics you should be able to discern that the old setup was ghetto because of the coathanger.... the new reflector blocked the camera view and for the 3rd time ive had to restart this whole timelapse deal. here's the anime of the couple days and the new angle, unless i get another cam you wont be seeing the c4 for the rest of this grow...

that looks awesome Dakine9! cool to see the growth actually taking place at such a rapid rate. keep those comin for sure. quick couple question. so you have all the plants in two containers, half on the left half on the right? how does that work out when they get larger? do you have success this way?
keep it righteous. 420.

hey guys, im glad you think this is as cool as i do. agent420 i think you have misunderstood, i have 2 containers with one plant in each. here's the last couple days of the jack herrer growing. this is the final spot for the camera so there will be some good continuity. i cant wait to see pistils popping out and lil armies of trics marching down the leaves!

file sizes are getting pretty big and this last image is only 9 frames. i think im gonna have to make the images even smaller  but i will release a high quality version when all is said and done.

went to the hydro shop today to get a replacement bulb for the 250w mh that im running, which is probably 5 years old and way past its prime. i scored myself one of the last 250w sunmaster warm deluxe lamps (they've been discontinued) and drove home. im just about to screw the bulb in when i catch a glimpse of the box and the writing 'BASE UP'. fuck!!! going back tomorrow.

I've always wanted to see a lapsed grow. I've read and heard about them, but have yet to see one for myself. Good growing - going, partner. :D

It's not that I'm a newbie. I just like watching my most favorite plant in the whole wide world GROWING.

ive got some shitty news to share. my camera died today. it had already stopped working with batteries, then with the proper amount of dc (i had to crank it to 12v instead of 6.5 or something) and now.. its toast. i had already bought a newer one on ebay but the jackass 'dropped' the camera getting it off the shelf to send it to me. i think she was pissed about the low winning bid. im bidding away at others so hopefully the setup will be up and running soon.

i went back to the hydro shop to get the horizontal warm deluxe and ended up leaving with a 400w warm deluxe and ballast. ive heard its overkill for a c-13 and im having some doubts. its definetly brighter... and warmer.

ill be back with a camera (soon)

thanks for clearing that up Dakine9.
that's quite impressive for 2 plants. all that vegetation covering the top makes it look like alot of plants in 2 containers. i would have guessed you had like 4 to 6 in there.
keep up the good work.
keep it righteous.420.

hey everyone. sorry for the lack of updates lately. its been sad coming home after a long days work and not being able to watch the girls daily progress. the ebay auction for my new old camera is ending in 24 hours so within a week or so ill have the timelapse going again.

tex: a little bit of both. some cameras come with a program that lets you control the camera with your computer. mine did but i had to write a whole new program to make it take pictures and transfer them every 10 minutes. not that you'll be able to find this in a bestbuy description but any camera with a TWAIN interface could be used for timelapsing a grow.

oh yeah, 2 days into flowering.... that camera had better arrive SOON.

Very cool post..........makes me wish I moved my growing indoors years ago................seems i've missing alot.Good looking set up good luck.
