Jack Herer

Here are a couple of Jacks we pulled down today...

The first one up is definitely on the Haze side of things....she went 90 days.

And this one is a little more on the indica side...she went 70 days.

W. is very excited to have the indica pheno Jack drying again...it is her favorite smoke and I must admit it probably is the most potent plant we have. :canabis:

Have a good one!

Hey c..nice looking jacks man. compliments to the chef! Did those come from sensi seeds? I read they can be a bugger to work with, any truth to that?

Tokinjoe...thanks...I'll try and remember to update the thread when they're dried :)

WhataboutBob...thanks to you too...they are indeed from Sensi...and yes this strain can be pain in the butt to work with. Any strain that has a lot of Haze in it is going to be a challenge for everyone except the expert grower. At least they clone easy;)

Well c, I certainly don't consider myself an expert yet, so I guess I better lay off the jack for right now? LOL.........nice job man.

lol...they don't grow perfect for us by any means and the first time we ran em they were really poor yeilding...but they sure are fun! If ya got the time and the space and the money for seed and don't care about yeild just top grade smoke...then JH is for you!

wwhhoo hoooo!! looks like W will have a few favorite buds to smoke, 'eh.... Those look mighty frosty guys... :joint: Ya'll make the strain look desirable that's for sure :canabis:

Yeah c, the description on jack says that 3 of the strongest strains known to man were crossed to come up with that plant so I guess that would explain the 150 dollar bean tag? I always thought to myself,"Damn, I'll bet that is powerful smoke"? Whats the buzz like? Is that like the highest you've ever been or what?

I have always wanted to try Jack Herer from Sensi... how does it compare to Nirvanas Jock Horror for the price? I mean dont get me wrong I dont mind spending any amount of money of good genetics.. just wondering!

LOL...yeah W will have some of those buds to smoke if I can stop her from turning the entire plant into bubble hash!

lol...the first time we ran her she didn't yeild squat...so we turned her into hash...the blondest, creamiest hashish we've ever smoked! After we smoked that sweet hashish we were like, "uhh we'd better run her again!" haha

When you smoke a big hit of it you can feel it in your brain...kinda like taking a big toke of hash almost...but it's bud!

W says the buzz is "strong and long lasting."

We've never grown Jock Horror but from looking at pics of peoples Jock Horror grows it looks like the Nirvana version doesn't have as much variation as the Sensi version...from the looks of it they seem to typically fall on the haze side...I haven't seen any pics of Jock Horrors like our indica pheno Jack Herers we've found.

Sunnyside...nice looking cuts! Willy Jack JH is simply Sensi JH F2 from what I understand...so it definitely could be some killer stuff...you'll have to post a report after ya grow em out. I'm totally interested

Great plants C+W you should be proud!!!

Just wondering what lighting did you use? And how tall were they when you started flowering? Oh and how many times did you top? Thanks

BTW Have you read the history of Cinderella 99?

Cinderella Story BY Mr Soul

I've been seeing a lot of posts from people asking for the "Cinderella Story", so here it is:

In 1997, I discovered a few seeds in a bud of Jack Herer I bought @ "Sensi Smile" coffeeshop in Amsterdam while there to buy seeds. I didn't expect much when I grew them, but one of those seeds from the JH bud produced a very special female that I call "Princess".

Therefore Princess' mother was a Jack Herer (IF we can believe what Sensi Smile printed on the package) and her father is a totally unidentified mystery plant.

I also got 2 more females (Genius & Cafe'Girl) & several males from those seeds. I used pollen from one of the males on a heavy-yielding, dense, resinous ShivaSkunk (from Sensi Seedbank) female, then grew the resulting seeds to get males to produce pollen to cross Princess with, beginning the cubing process.

The first generation of seeds from Princess were called P.50 because they were 50% Princess. I used males from the P.50 generation to back-cross to Princess to get P.75 and again back-crossed with the P.75 pollen to get P.88 and again with the P.88 pollen to get P.94 which is "Cinderella 99", a cubed version of Princess.

The name "Cinderella" was chosen because of the parallels between this story and the well-known fairy tale in which Cinderella becomes a Princess despite her humble beginning. It's also VERY similar to the story of the "Morgan Horse"...go Figure!

Sounds like JH is also an excellent choice for breeding. Good luck C+W :canabis:

C&W... nice grow. I've got some beans on the way, but I don't plan on growing those out until I got a couple more grows under ma belt. Your plants look beautiful. I can't wait to find out what the weight was and the full smoke report. I've never tried it, but heard that it would be some phenominal meds for me!!!

Wow, congrats those are some gorgeous flowers, I can only imagine what the sativa high from 90 day JH is going to be like. You did a great job, it looks very good for a plant that's been flowering in the same pot for 90 days, I've never come close to something like that .

You can see that C99, Apollo 11 & 13, etc. is simply an indica-leaning pheno of JH.

btw Rox if you want C99 why not try the "GN09" collection seeds from Gypsy? I tried a GN collection C99 from several years back & found it pretty much matched the original BG pack that I had. Out of 3 females, 2 of them were pretty much identical to my c99's from the original pack.
