so my mom and clone cab is sitting on top of my flowering cab, (its where that gallon of water is at (pic is of room before construction)

and as you can see, i only have about 10 inches before the wall cuts me off. my goal is to get some sort of cloning setup in there. I only need to take about 4 clones at a time so it doesnt need to be big. any advice? rockwool, coco plugs, aerocloner maybe? the clones will be goin into dwc in the main flowering chamber right below that.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

i would do a small bubble cloner then. probably a ziplock plastic container, with holes in the lid. and a bubblestone and airpump. would be more than enough for you. also by doing bubble cloner they will be ready to drop right into the dwc.

good luck with your endevor. i know what its like working with a small closet. PAIN IN THE ASS. sometimes.

aight. sounds simple enough. all RO water right? and paint the thing black or tape it up? what about the lid? having holes in the lid will let light in and breed bad bacteria right?

ro water is not a need. but yes i would paint/tape the whole tub including the top. when i said holes in the top i was more refering to spots to put the stems through. you shouldnt really ahve too much a problem with bacteria and what not cause your not putting any nutes into the water at all. no food no bacteria. just keep your temps in check and youll be fine.

good luck.

Why don't you just go simple and use rockwool with trays and a dome? Seems perfect for that small of a space..

I've never seen trays and a dome less then 10" wide. They make "tupperware?" for pasta. long and thin. Maybe something built for bread.

Clones don't need a lot of light and root in 10-12 days. If you go for a bubbler type setup, low light and high areation will combine to hold algae at bay.

Its all in the thread I posted... read the whole thread carefully if you plan to use it....

The only thing you have to do to the cloner is put holes in the bottom caps......

But its not actually drainage but a way for water to get in.....from there the vermiculite wicks right up to the surface.....

Make sure you buy a thermometer to make sure your shelf is at proper temps....

80-85 degrees..... Ive made millions of clones with this thing and never once under 80%

Normally the only thing I have to do is refill the reservoir one time during its time....

no pumps, domes fukking around....

For dwc they should be sufficiently rooted at about day 10

From the thread....

So what do you really need...

Tube ice cube maker....about $3.50
aquarium thermometer about $3.00
1/16 drill bit ......................$2.00

FINE vermiculite....perlite may also be used but its not my preferred medium...
I picked up a big bag for 13.00 at lowes....I also see the same bags at my hydro store...higher cost however....

A bottle of clonex purple is about $20.00

The temps should be between 80 and 85 degrees....

I think you biggest concern is temps too high while running the bottom part as well......
