It's raining, advice needed

So it's rainin pretty good on my girls right now. Some of them are days within harvest and others have about a week and a half or so to go. They all have big dense buds. I live in a very dry climate. My question is should I just chop now and get then things in from of a fan or will they be ok with a week of warm dry weather after this one day of rain?

the ones that are a week and a half out are NO PROBLEMO, with an upcoming week of warm, dry, sunny weather...IMO, on the ones that were supposed to be a few days from chop, let them stay out in that warm sunny weather till they're good and dry... Myself, I would rather cut them a few days later in the ripening process, then cut them when wet and risk losing it all to mold problems..

Got a leaf blower? If not, get a cheap one and when the rain stops, blow dry em! I've been surprised many times by rain and the leaf blower is your best friend. stake up any branches that are sagging.

And watch the weather so your not surprised next time. Get em covered before they get rained on.

Thanks guys, I actually think I do have a leaf blower. I thought of using a blow dryer but the heat created scares me, a leaf blower would be perfect. Yes we have a hoop house planned for next year. Our patch is in an odd spot but it will be do able.

def harvest when the buds are dry - i harvested late at night when the dew was out for emergency reasons and some of my strains suffered mold. I had to throw out a zip of bud.

It all depends on your strains though. Some of my densest strains didnt suffer any mold simply bc of their genetics... look into what you've got running and see if anything should come down this week.

I think you'll be ok waiting it out IMO... if it were more than one day of rain I'd be worried but you should be in the clear as long as temps don't duck down too low over night.

Happy harvesting!

givem a good shake after heavy rain, plenty of water will shake off , yeh and trying to dry and cure during the rain sucks , i would wait. glgl

So all went well. There was a tiny bit of mold on some of the buds damaged by caterpillars. Ended up using the leaf blower to remove excess water, it worked great! Thanks again
