Just got my wallet in the mail, its actually a pretty good one too.

I'm a long time reader first time grower, has anyone ever tried these:

FYI, I'm doing an organic Shunshine soil paired with Earth Juice.
Are there any curve-balls associated with this strain?

I just started 5 seed myself. All of them above ground in 96 hours. I've been researching for a while and it seems like a real easy strain to grow. Go easy on the nutrients after week 3 of flowering is what I've picked up, otherwise it'll burn up.

I've heard that these seeds are pretty good, but I don't have the personal experience with them. (Of course, it seems like you need to choose a good seed seller first. I'm assuming you did????)

Me? I believe how you grow is more important than what you grow. When you take the time to learn all that you can about growing and you take the time to setup a strong nute regimen, you will find that you have the most success.

Keep the grow room clean, watch your plants, and learn all that you can about growing problems before you encounter them. This way, you can fix them as soon as your plants begin to show signs.

I haven't actually heard of those nutes you've mentioned, so I can't help you with that. I'm an AN user through and through - no secret there.

But watch the plants and I'm sure you'll figure things out as you go.

Make sure you give the seeds some time to germinate - that's where most growers go wrong. They don't let the seeds grow some strong roots. That helps the plant start off as strong as possible - no matter what happens along the way.

good luck!!!

Thanks brotha,
This is going to be so much fun. Just going give it to my buddy when I'm done seeing how I don't smoke it anymore, but always wanted to raise one from seed to flower. I gotta be the only guy on here like that.

Hello,

I do not see those as Nirvana seed packages. They do not look like the packages I have got from Nirvana. Where did you get those Nirvana seeds from?

Interesting

Interesting

You know what,
These days it seems like every company is changing their image or jumping through hoops to adapt to a new market. Hell, the college I just graduated from was an aviation school for 40 years, in one semester it changed to strictly comp sciences. Things are changing boy and that's the truth.
Plus looking at the state of Europe the economy who knows what these seed company's are up these day's.
Maybe they are just a sales rep for various seed farmers and some farmers package differently than others.

Thanks for the input, good to know there are people who notice this kind of stuff.

Here is the web site I purchased from: http://www.nirvana-shop.com/
The confirm e-mail said if there were any problems I should call and talk to "Alice".

What do the normal packages look like?

Well That is very wierd indeed & im contacting Alice or one of the Nivarna team over this one,
The SwissCheese & Blackberry-(SativaSeedBank) both came in original breeders packs but without the usual descriptions on the back label. The seeds themselves were poor imo, half were unviable, light in colour & flimsy, the other half were nearly OK, but is that acceptable. Is this Gold Sticker thing Seed from the TOP Shelf or of a better quality, seeing these makes me wonder, so im gonna Run it by them & see what they have to say for themselves, See i think looking at yours that they have been packed showing they are of higher quality, they are dark, speckled/striped & look extreamly viable & if you got them direct from the company, i think they are of better quality than they let go to other selling vendors/seedbanks. We'll soon find out & IF they reply i'll post up what they say here!
Peace........Scroger! ;)

Yea, maybe you did get a bad batch. They might throw you a pack or two for compensation. Let me know when you hear from them.

Here are photos of 5 that germed and planted:

002.jpg

-- Two little fredy's are holding out on me, so hoping they pop up in a day or two--

003.jpg

-- Those other three jumped up quick! Only took a day --

I've got 24/0 light on them and am not going to stop that cycle until its time to flower.
My main goal is to get some nice mothers going and when I get a feel for how they grow I'll try out the SCROG and LST.

-- Let me know

Update on the Blue Mystic

Update on the Blue Mystic

The Blue Mystic family looks healthy to me check these pics out and let me know what you guys think.

B1.jpg

-- The box, nice and clean too --

box005.jpg

-- Designed this out of what I had lying around the house --

wT.jpg

-- Here is the Fam all together happy and growing fast (about 5 day's since sprouting) --

W1-1.jpg

-- Zoomed in to the biggest one in the back, if its a girl her name will be Vanessa --

W2-2.jpg

-- Second strongest, located on the left --

W3-1.jpg

-- Smallest one, on the right. I have a sneaking suspicion this one is a different strain because its growing much slower and the leaves are more wrinkled while the other two have leaves which are smother and more symmetrical --
I'm really excited to see what they looking in another week!

Leave your comments, Thanks

I've ordered from nirvana a few different times over the years, i will say as of my last 3 orders, i have gotten them with the lil gold sticker. so i think its just something new they are doing since before it was just a lil bag with hand writen info on it. and yes that wallet is nice and i use it in hopes that i might meet a "friend" that has one as well. although i do like nirvana and would continue to buy/grow there beans, you must understand that you do get what you pay for. what i mean by this is that the beans are not consistent. i have gotten seeds that range from large ,dark, tiger-striped, to tiny, pale, duds. most of them will fall in the middle of this, but every once in a while you do get bad seeds. I will say that they have great customer service and will replace bad seeds. as far as the plants go, you end up getting 2-4 phenotypes in a bag some are much better than others. I believe that most of the better phenotypes show purple in them do to the fact that most of there beans come from a male purple skunk plant, though it looks like some of there newer strains have different genetics. as far as blue mystic goes, when i grew it 5-6 years ago, i found most had hues of blue and purple. out of those colorful plants, a few of those had the distinct smell of blueberries. these will be your keepers. expect 2-3 keepers in a pack.
I did find that mystic was a light feeder that didnt like drastic changes. any time i tried to up the feeding, i got burned leaves. also mine didnt like being flowered under HIDs. my keepers seemed to pop bananas randomly until i took it outdoors ( didnt want seeds but didnt want to kill the plant). once it got under the sun the male flowers seem to stop popping up. watch out for mold, buds are thick and will mold very fast if your RH% is not inline. at the time i gave mystic a 7/10. the buds tasted really good. the high was average at best, not bad, just not "wow". Buds looks nice and tight and had great bag appeal. i would have rated it better but the ease of growing was not there for me, to touch for my liking. hope this helps good luck
