[FONT=&quot]Italy’s Supreme Court has ruled growing small quantities of cannabis at home for private usage is legal in a landmark verdict.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]The farming and selling of marijuana was barred under legislation which dates back to the 1990s but contradictory court decisions since then have generated uncertainty around the law.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]The court declared the crime of growing narcotic drugs should exclude “small amounts grown domestically for the exclusive use of the grower”.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Although the ruling was made on 19 December, it was not reported in the press until after Christmas. It has sparked calls for further legalisation from cannabis advocates and fury from conservatives.[/FONT]

Lol! Even worst than that! its a Mafiocracy....nothing moves without the approval of some guys....italy has always been very harsh on prohibitionism mainly for this reason...they make very good money with their traffics and they get soooooo mad when you touch their money!!!
In Italy the drug trafficking charges are the only that get sticked to the fullness.... they get very mad when you don't ask their permission...for the rest you can rob, kill, rape and a good lawyer will make things alright...

nothing has actually changed, even today after that verdict, the law is unchanged and still forbids the cultivation of even a few number of plants. Criminal offense and if the judge is an asshole, jail.
